Open up my computer. Click on your hard drive icon once. Look on the left side where it says "details". See if it says Ntfs or Fat32. I doubt its Fat32 b/c thats ancient stuff. If its Ntfs. You need a new hard drive b/c you have no room left.

I think the LG is just a drive, not a burner

I use the Pioneer to burn. I looked up the specs again online about the LG and dont see anything about its burn speeds.

I'm guessing if you used your LG it would take a long time to burn one. Very long...

if your all talking about the LG drives in the first post the are dvd rom drives..meaning they only read dvd they DO NOT burn dvds. you need one of those to be able to read the wii disk to make the iso, then you use any regular dvd burner to write the disk. it takes 2 DIFFERENT DRIVES to backup a wii disk. I think any dvd burner will work but what blank dvd you use has been proven to be an issue. I wasnt able to make a backup on my old Kodak DVD's but was on Fujifilm and Verbatim DVD's

Didn't Killa tell you that you had NTFS already and that you needed to just buy a new hard drive????

Hi,
I downloaded zelda and uncompressed it. it came to just over the normal dvd size.
What is not mentioned above is do you need the LG drives to burn the games?
I know you need them to rip them onto your hard drive.
I have a dual layer LG burner, but it has not worked??
Please reply
(IM STRESSED)
Thanks
Thanks,

as it has been stated many times before the LG drives listed are DVD rom dirves..they ONLY READ..you can use any burner to burn an .iso if you downloaded one (this is stated in the very first post.) The likely reason why your burn did not work is the media. I ripped one of my games and burnt it with my pioneer dvd burner with kodak DVD-R, didnt work, then i tried with Verbatim DVD-R it worked.
so try another type of dvd blank media..
and please read the other posts before asking the same question for the millionth time
thanks

Finally made a backup!! Had alot of problems with imgburn as well. I might have been using wrong version, it was 2.3.0.0. I installed a copy of Nero 6 that i had and worked on first try. I wasted 5 disks with the other program. Waiting for the wiikey to come. Thanks for all your help!

Got the Wiikey today and installed it. I almost lifted a pad but put it back together and everything worked perfectly!!! Thanks to everyone who helped.
I was reading that someone downloaded zelda, did they just mean that they dumped it or is there a site to download from?

I have a wiikey. I followed the instructions from the bunny c's first post. Everything worked perfectly.
I bought the LG drive.
Used Rawdump to rip the wii game in the LG drive.
Then with Nero and my Plextor DVD Burner (not the lg drive) I burned the image. 4x Sony DVD-R
It works perfectly.
Read the first post people!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! Glad to hear another success story. I myself have installed only 2 so far and both were without any problems.. I have I believe 3 more to do as soon as he chips arrive. I use of course the LG-Rom and use a Lite-on burner with Verbatim -R's at 8x with no hiccups.. seems burns at 4x and sometimes 6x makes alittle more clanking noises as opposed to 8x. I guess everybody has different burn rates w/different burners. Oh and I use Imgburn 2.3.0.0.

Hi, i posted on here a while ago about the drives, got my lg drive now, works perfect, burned my setup disk on my laptop (nec 6500 burner) and have used verbatim disks for this. whenever i put the disk in my wii it says unable to read disk. I then took my wii apart, again! put some new solder on (didn't use wire as its even trickier) and still nothing, is their a way to check if all solder points are connected (ie with a tester) or is their a way to see if the chip is still functioning, i don't want to go out and buy a pioneer burner to find that it was the chip not working or something, any help would be sincerely appreciated. thanks
