well i think they should make the PS3 price cheaper so lots of poeple can but it and make the games stay the same but not the upgrades because first let other non-wealthy poeple can enjoy the fun of PS3 and wen they think PS3 standard stock it not good enough they can upgrade it later
wat do u think of my idea?

i have no complaints with the price i think you are paying for the quality and everything together ya see for the x360 they don't bundle everything so the system is cheaper but if you choose to pay for an accessory that will cost more. i think the real question is (and there are a million threads for this) how about the game price

I think PS3 is way ahead of its time. If they want to lower the price they will have to step down the tech and at this point its not gonna happen.

They could possibly step down to HD-DVD, that would lower the cost but would hurt them in the long run.

No way thye could step down to HD-DVD when their pushing Blu-ray as hard as they are.Their future is in Blu-ray and thats highly unlikely.

sony would loose truck fulls of money if they switched to hddvd i mean they would be making bluray disks but noone would buy them for 4 years when bluray becomes the norm but with a ps3 they are singlehandedly forcing bluray to be the nextgen.
btw whats with everyone saying "when hell freezes over"

Sony not forceing anything on anybody Sony said 2 year ago that there next Gen system was going to be more than a regular home gaming console.They didnt lie.They wanted to put more in the PS3 but they had to stop to keep the price from being out of this world.

I like that they did include the Blu-ray and not have it as a add on.Because Sony got alot of people during PS2 because you buyed everything in pieces.HD,Internet adt,& memory card.

@damon im not saying it is bad i like the fact that they bundled it all that will make everything cheaper i am just saying that the ps3 will single handedly make bluray the next gen

i was reading a magazine "i quoted it in another thread" that basically said i hope people that buy HD-DVD are prepared to bring it back. and that they couldnt wait to get their hands on bluray after they say the demo for it.

I remember when ps2 first came out.Back then a regular dvd player was $150-$400 and I was like damn I can play dvd's,games,and cd's on one system for only $299.Plus the $150 dvd player sucked and would break while ps2 is sony brand and aren't made cheap.
Also the extra space was nice too because I don't have a huge room :(
and this allowed me to do alot with only a foot of space.The slim one is even better.

Really why?
I don't know if bd or HD-DVD sucks because none have been released.I know bd is technically superior but not by much.Of coarse bd makes you pay for that little bit of superiority with higher prices like 25 bucks a disc.

well you know that for instance lost season 1 for hddvd it would still be on multible disks where as bluray it would be 1 thus making bluray disks cheaper

it would be great for them to annouce a 450/550 price tag, but they wouldn't change it this late. i could see that price after 6-10 months. i'm probably gunna get a ps3, keep it for some time, then return it a few months later when they change the processor die to 65nm.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...
