doesn't mean im not going to get a ps3. If any next gen, it will defiantly be ps3 for me. Waiting till 2007 could be hard but also might be smart move if price drops and it and the outcome is better. Plus there would be used games out buy by then. I kinda plan on getting one when it comes out because like others have said, Sony has had a lot of time on working on the ps3 so i'm sure it will be kickin a$$ when it comes out (and hopefully moddable at some extent =P). And if they do have a somewhat drastic shortage like 360, then I might just do what anubis66 is thinking of doing, and buy one when on release and sell it right before the later ones are out. I bought the first batch of ps2s and i still use mine today and i am well pleased so I don't think if I get a ps3 I will be displeased or won't get my money out of it, because being a gamer, playstation fan, and lover of RPGs and obscure games like Shadow of The Colossus, I know i'll use plenty of the PS3.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...
By the way, awesome article dnglebry. That's quite a simple and brilliant technique they came up with, let's see if they get the audio capturing to work right.

Ya, but to match it up correctly with the video feed. I am certain once BD and HD hit mainstream there will be plenty of tools and programs created to get around the anti-copying. Tis only matter of time :) But nevertheless, this is off to a good start.

well, the file size will be big. now ytou have to pay $1000 for a bd-rom burner. now you have to pay for bluray disks at $25 a pop. so in the right calculations, if the games were $50, you would never make your money back and always be $1000 dollars in the hole for value recovered. now if they are $60 a piece, you will break even with retail value at 100 backed up games. if you really want to do this be my guest, but its not practical anymore. we will need a new hl_dumb.exe (better than hl_dump) and a copy of hdd loader.
