im a tech guy, and i'll be buying bluray from now on as soon as i get a ps3. ill still get dvd's of things not for bluray. i hope they release shawshank redemption for bluray in time. and like all the adam sandler movies on 1 dual layer bd.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

shawshank redemption is a classic..love some morgan freeman and tim robbins. Adam sandler had his hayday but hes going soft with his old age and im not srue about if he has kids or not but his movies blow lately...

Yeah I'm not saying the techs won't or will.
But take davinci code,passion of the christ,ann coulter's new book at #1.See grown ups fall for controversy just like kids do.Even HDTV was initially controversial.

no, its not that. the devinci code is a story based over reports from non-chistian groups and christian rats that wrote down and passed stories of what really when on. the story in it is fake yes, but i never read the book and when i saw the movie, i know how almost anything they explain had already been learned to me long before. alot of it is fandom fake things to spice it tho. the knights templar burning is real, aswell as a bit more like mary running away for her life.

I don't really take it that seriuosly because it's a marketing game to line dan brown's pocket's with cash.
However the church has more secrets than you could believe.There a reason the templars were rounded up and murdered it's facts.What reason it was is the controversial part.

I personally won't buy anything on bluray in standard def.I want my adam sandler movies in high def.

ah yes, and same to you dnglebry! I almost completly agree with you, but by looking at the charts, facts, e3, and the information out and about i am rooting for Blu-ray and ps3. But i am 100% with you on the whole hit and miss thing, and the 50 50. I don't plan on buying a ps3 on the month of its release. I am first going to sit back and see the pros and cons coming from gamers, developers, tech guys ,etc. Besides, the first batch of gaming consoles isn't a smart move to play majority of the time because there will most likely be few glitches, bugs ,errors, or things that are later added onto the newer releases. (look how much more imporved the dvd player-functioning was on the ps2 from the first batch compared to the later ones [before slim]).

hahah how did da vinci code and passion of the Christ get pulled into this? The author of da vinci admits it being fiction and just thoughts on his mind of possibilities of cover-ups etc. It's a great idea especially to market in the entertainment industry, but it has caused tons of controversy XD. I wouldn't mind reading it someday though.
Oh and Punch Drunk Love is an amazing Adam Sandler movie where its not your typical adam sandler character / comedy movie. Sure it has comedy in it, but wow does it show how vigorous and an amazing performance he can actually put on aside from those generic comedic roles. But where were we? w00t for ps3

yeh ur right its not smart to get the first batch of consoles because of the glitches and hardware issues but if you dont get them in the first months your stuck with the MS situation and waiting 6-8 months to get one. i found a link on gamepro.com that said analyst expect ps3 to be in short supply until late 2007 so get it while its hot or wait and suffer LOL.Atleast if you get the first batch your covered under warranty so your system can be fixed if there are issues and returned to you quicker than waiting the long time, but all that said you also made the point of weighing the prs and cons does that mean you may not get a ps3?

I dunno with the updateable firmware I'm not sure if any version will be easier to hack then another version but I know what you mean.As soon as sony finds out ,they will patch it out of the box.
I do think think all of them will be stable because sony has had alot of time.Keeping my fingers crossed.
