Well, another game that worked with the Y-Fix patcher and 48 of yfix, its Final Fantasy VII Digest Of Cerberus. the game has the Screen Adjustment selector, so u will be able to play this game with no problem, to acces the screen adjustmnt just start the new game and the screen will show to choose ur options ;)

is there a new program out there besides pal2ntsc yfix patcher and adr patcher that does the job better or perfectly?
maybe the best solution is to have a tv with a ntsc/pal system so we can play all games whether its pal or ntsc...
we are all suffering from these tv standard BS..

What region are japanese games anyway? ntsc?
Also, i have fujifilm dvd+r dvd's. Can i write games on those?
I'm thinking of buying that pal/ntsc convertoer from chipzone, but if i download some games, and turn them into iso, can i use my current dvd (mentioned above) to write them so i can use it for ps2 gaming? thakns (p.s. i know i'd have to write each iso on a seperate dvd.

Coolkitz, the multi-system tv, which is used everywhere in the world except the americas does the job. It's just cause u.s. wants to have everything different (for some reason)

yes

yes, but is only compatible with later versions of ps2 (v4+). DVD-R is recommended, either verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. However some games that access the disc a lot (GTA San Andreas or Metal Gear Solid 3) will work better on DVD+R.

That converter will have the same effect as the ADR Patcher, so the screen will be in colr, but off center. The Y-fix patcher is recommended. It's free and works with most games.

Ok, thanks.
Wait, i have a couple q's.
First off, i went and bought some verbatim dvd-r, but all i could find was white ink print. Is that ok?
Second, i have a modded ps2 (it has chip) and it's ntsc. If i downloaded a swap magic 3 disk, then would i be able to use it to play pal games (the games also have been burnt already (by someone else, professionally))? Would i have to burn it on a verbatim dvd also?
Lastly, do you know a site that has ps2 iso's/games? (any torrent would work fine, but not sure if bittorrent would. i have limewire pro 4.13 P.S. if anyone wants it mail edited by ddp for link (hey, it's free, right?) :))

There's no need for swap magic if you have a modded ps2.

Talk of piracy is against forum rules.
I found this. It might actually improve gaming?
Could you tell me what you might know?
Would i have to burn it on verbatim as well?
in case the link above don't work: http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_utils_bootcd.shtml
There's no need for a ps1 loader if you have a modded ps2.

Some of us have lives and don't come here everyday. Give an attitude like that again, and I wont be helping you anymore.

sakuske, no email posting as per forum rules, posts edited. also read the forum rules as is obvious you haven't read them. as nrk4594 posted, we do have lives besides ad & sometimes posts don't get answered for days or weeks.

Hi, i've read the first couple of pages. I know the basics. Now, if i want to write dvd's, i need to use verbatim. I wonder if these will work?
I have a modded psp, but it can't change the game to ntsc signal (since the place it got modded uses multisystem tv's only, so there's no need). If i can download swap magic, write it on a verbatim dvd, and put it the ps2, will it work?
Thanks in advance, greatly appreciate it :)

yes

do you mean modded ps2? Some modchips can automatically convert the signal? Which modchip do you have?

It would work, since you have a modded ps2, but why would you want swap magic, when a modchip can do everything swap magic can?

I'm not sure. As i didn't do the modding, or even bought the chip. The place i did it was like, a big store (like, a radio shack or somehting), and they had a lot of customers (as far as i know), and they just took it for 1 day. But i have many (like 20-30) pal games, and none of them have worked. mind you they are also burned, but professionally. They work, but like the symptoms, it rolls and is black and white.

Um, when you say that, do you mean i'll be able to play pal games?
cause again, i have many ps2 games, and i just don't want to do so much burning. And like, more than half of them aren't on your list (which i must say, is extremely impressive. it must have taken a long time. many people must appreciate it.)
Finally, i couldn't get the dvds (the link), but instead, i bought these. I'm pretty sure those will work as well (since they're both verbatim, but, i'm just worried, cause i can't return it after it's been opened). Sorry for asking so much. Thank you again.

If you dl swap magic try this:
Boot a copy of Swap Magic 3. After it loads, eject it. Insert the PAL game. Let it read the new TOC. Select NTSC on screen, then press the SQUARE BUTTON for special boot.

Ok, thanks man. I'll see.
Oh, just one thing. The ps2 doesn't read the cd/dvd after its put in (like, when you press x to enter browser, it goes to the memory stick, but the game never loads, so i have to restart the ps2).
Will this affect it?

Yeah, the ps2. Like, you know how when you turn on the ps2 (without dvd in it), and those six light come, and then you press X to enter. Then the memory stick show (on a white background), and the the game loads, and it looks like a dvd, and you choose the dvd ...
For mine, it doesn't load (the dvd). So, i have to press the restart button (on the ps2 cover) if i want to play the game, so that it skips the process of showing the memory card ...

oh ok. You kept saying memory stick instead of memory card and it through me off. The swap magic would load as any other ps2 backup would.

ok, thanks. Yeah, i get mixed up sometimes.
I dl'd swap magic version 3.6. There's a dvd folder. Inside it, is an .elf file and an iso.
(p.s., it was a rar ...)
What do i do? Use, like, power iso (after extracting the dvd folder) to make the elf and iso into one iso, or just burn the elf as well as the iso?

My version of ICO (PAL / British) doesn't load up at all in my PS2, so I never get to a language selection screen. Instead I get the "Please insert a Playstation DVD." I've also attempted the conversion process outlined here to no avail. Any suggestions? The DVD case states, "This software is only compatible with the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system displaying the PAL logo."
