I am getting 4 horizontal displays on my TV screen whenever i try to play some games on my PS2,it doesnt happen with all the games but most of the games, what is the problem & please give me a possibl solution.
I hope u guys understand, its like after the game starts it gives me 4 split screen picture, but the game Hitman is working coz its got the options of NTSC & PAL & when i choose NTSC the same thing happens but when i choose PAL its allright.
I think its the same NTSC/PAL problem again.
I am living in India which is a PAL region & i've got games which are in NTSC format, what should i do? can i convert them & write it?
If u ppl are sure dat it would work then please provide me a download link which convert ISO images of PS2 dvd's from NTSC to PAL.

If that patch method doesn't work, try the ADR Patcher. This has no y-fix option, so the screen will be a little off center. You can see if the game has an option in the menu for screen adjustment.
1)Download adr patcher:
http://img167.exs.cx/img167/2601/adrpatcher059ap.jpg
Just save the link to your hard drive. Then, right click on it and select Open With-->Choose Program-->Winrar Archiver. Then click extract to and extract the files to your hard drive.
2)Run adr_patcher.exe
3)Click browse and select the iso file of the game
4)Select .PS2 PAL -> NTSC PATCH ROUTINE (NO Y POS)
5)Select Begin Search.
6)The program will search for locations to patch the game. When it finishes, patch the file.
7)Burn the patched .iso file
Can I tell what region the disc is before burning the backup?[/b]
Yes. Put your original into your dvd drive. Locate the elf file. If it is named SLUS or SCUS, it will be the USA release. If it is named SLES or SCES, it will be the PAL release. If you just have the .iso file of the game and you don't have the orignal, you can use IsoBuster to view the files of the game.
Here is an example of what the files will look like. The elf file in this case is named SLES_529.50 which tells us that the game is PAL.
i used adr_patcher.exe to convert a PAL game to NTSC [ Singstar Anthems] and it said it patched it, but when i open up the iso in magiciso, it still has the old PAL format SCES. Is this normal even though it supposenly patched it? or is it suppose to say a NTSC format ?

Hi, does someone been able to patch Final Fantasy XII from PAL to NTSC? I try with the patcher 1.06 and the game don't boot after patching... and with adr_patcher, the file are still SLES instead of SLUS... so it doesn't work either (i'm from quebec so i want it in french...)

me I even don't see the intro, with the PAL the game is black and white and when I patch it, I see the paystation logo and it stop there...
but limelight said he was able to convert the game (page 30) he use the patcher 1.06
and when you said you see the intro, you mean the cloud with the menu load game, etc? Why me it's stop after the logo...?

Exactely like you. I am able to launch the game in black and white. But if I patch it, I see the logo, then it starts with the clouds, then the game freezes. I didn't know that limelight was able to convert it. Really hope that he could help us on that one.

Ive heard that people are having trouble with FFXII. Its been a long time so i'll try not to leave anything out, but i might get the order mixed up. Either way, here goes.
1.After having the iso file, use PAL to NTSC patcher. Dont click on the "offset" box.
2.Then go to http://www.ps2hd.com/list/index.php and scroll down to the FFXII (usa version...i know its the usa version, but it worked) and hover the mouse over the question mark. U need that patch to well...patch the game...again, so it'll work on hdloader (dont forget Mode 3 !!!)
I cant remember if i patched the game first and then did the PAL to NTSC second, so those steps above may be in the wrong order.
Im pretty sure thats all i did. Hopefully i didnt leave anything out. My apologies if i did in advance. Have fun.

some questions for you limelight:
- did you use PS2 PAL TO NTSC PATCHER WITH Y-FIX V1.06 BETA to patch the game ?
- if so, what do you mean by 'dont click on the "offset" box'
- which 2nd patch did you use ? is it from that page http://www.console-exploits.com/forums/s...t=final+fantasy ?
- which one did you choose ? Brendo or Jevahose ?
- to aplly those patches I need to use PPF-O-Matic ?
Thanks for your help

hum... I foud a new patcher... he's name "Vfix 2005" and can be found there : http://www.megaupload.com/fr/?d=0CNXMGYX
With this patch, for me i have the colour, but the screen is jumping again... anyway the game is working in colour now... and in french :D (but it's not playable due to the jumping screen :(
With Adr, the game is launching, i can see the intro/cloud for about 1 second and after the screen freeze...
With the patcher 1.06, the game simply not boot at all...
So if there was a possibility to just arrange the jumping screen... with the vfix it will work fine...
However, thanks for the help limelight, but i'm not sure to understand... does the patch you talk is for booting on the hd?
And like wazz said, what do you mean by "offset box"?
I scrap a lot of dvd today, i think i'm gonna take a break tonight ^_^

Am can you upload it in megashare instead? I have a hardtime downloading from megaupload

I don't mind playing in black and white I just need the screen to not jump. Is there anyway to stop that? I was able to convert NHL2k7 to NTSC and it has color but like you the screen jumps.
Can a multisystem television fix that? Still I don't want to buy a new TV just for that and besides I don't have the money.

I think he means the offset checkbox which let's you apply the offset of 32-40.

You could always use DVD-/+RW so that you don't waste dvdrs. That's what I do.

it's not me that upload it but anyway ====> http://www.MegaShare.com/221905
Quote: I don't mind playing in black and white I just need the screen to not jump.
Hum personnaly I want colour, a game in black and white not sure it's fun but anyway... did you try the patcher 1.06 on the first thread? And the Adr patcher? What do you get from these 2 patch? And you can try this vfix 2005 but for me it only change the colour, maybe not for you. Coz these patch are suposed to fix most of the game (except some like Final Fantasy XII and maybe your NHL)
The only other thing i see it's to buy a video system converter PAL to NTSC, which if I understand will allow to convert the PAL signal to play on NTSC console and tv... for about 30-50$ (so fix the rolling screen i think)
As for the offset box, i know but I think he said to not change the value (48 as defalut) coz we can't remove this option... anyway
And the dvdrw, sure, but my ps2 can't read them, so... lot of scrap there (anyway... it's not 5 bucks each either)
And for Final fantasy XII, does you suceed wazz? or maybe reekeam
I will try those to patch (jevahose or brenda) it's said that it arrange the black screen (that i got)... we're gonna see...

Thanks for the link but I got impatient yesterday and looked it up and i found another source..thought i wanna share it for those sick of filehosts or are having trouble dloading from them
http://www.cdrinfo.pl/download2.php?file...84356&baza=soft
Just choose FTP2, i think ftp1 is broken
Quote: Hum personnaly I want colour, a game in black and white not sure it's fun but anyway... did you try the patcher 1.06 on the first thread? And the Adr patcher? What do you get from these 2 patch?
I tried everything in there the Adr pathcer and vfix works except for the Y-fix v.1.06, i tried all the offsets and when i play it I just get a rolling screen and nothing else, only black screen that is rolling. But as you can see it seems that it is not the patcher that is the problem after all
Quote: Coz these patch are suposed to fix most of the game (except some like Final Fantasy XII and maybe your NHL)
Here's the thing I repatched my NHL again and lo and behold it worked!
But the problem is the rolling screen fix only works on one of our tv's!
I tried it on a SONY trinitron, SONY trinitron (japanese, cant understand cuz every text is japanese) and an AIWA. It only worked on my SONY trinitron and not the other 2. I wouldn't mind being able to play NHL on just one TV but the thing is I was able to patch DARK CLOUD and it worked on every TV in our house. Maybe this would help you guys. Try it on your other TV sets the rolling screen might stop, Of course the screen is not that aligned but it is acceptable. In NHL the scores are seen but the buttons you see bellow the screen are only 1/3 you can still see it so theres no problem there
I really wanna know why some patched games work on 3 tvs and some just work on one.
I have a v5 ps2
Quote: The only other thing i see it's to buy a video system converter PAL to NTSC, which if I understand will allow to convert the PAL signal to play on NTSC console and tv... for about 30-50$ (so fix the rolling screen i think)
I read some articles on this and some say that it works but the screen won't be aligned. And some say it doesn't so it's still a little confusing. I dont know
Quote: And the dvdrw, sure, but my ps2 can't read them, so... lot of scrap there (anyway... it's not 5 bucks each either)
What model is your ps2? I only have 2 dvd-rw's one I use for ps2 games testing and video conversion to play in my dvd player. The other one is for backing up software that gets updated rapidly. It is a cheap no name dvdrw and i have burned and erased the contents about a 100 times and so far it hasnt failed yet. Like i said I have a model 5 ps2,been using it for 3 years and i love rpg so that just means the lens has been used quite often (i play rpgs for about 4-8 hours a day if im in the mood)
Hope you guys fix the FFxii prob, try other tv sets it might work for you

when I apply the vfix patch, the game won't even boot. The question is when those giant companies will release in french their games ? In quebec, there is a law, every movies are translated, every pictures... Only video games are in english exclusively....

It's exaclty what I'm thinking... I can understand that they don't want to traduce the games in quebecois, the market is 10 time smaller here than france (on the other hand I think every movies should be translate in quebecois and not in france) BUT they should AT LEAST propose in the quebec the french version... we're not french for the fun... anyway
A game like FFXII... I almost finish it, but i missed 3/4 of the story, especially that the language used is a little bit complicated...
What seem weird to me is that we don't get the same result from the patch... maybe it's depend of the tv also... coz for exemple me with the vfix 2005, the game boot and in color (with rolling screen) and you it don't boot... weird...
for the screen alignement, a lot of game propose the setting of the screen (of course it won't allow it to move a lot but maybe it can arrange a little bit)
For my PS2 I have V4 model (the old one I think, coz there is 2 V4) Maybe it's the modchip, but the DVD-RW don't pass... but... I'll try again, maybe it's was just my burning or game or dvdrw... it been years I try...
3 more dvd scrap tonight... tssss...I'll try other tv like you said, maybe it will work... I hope
Edit : I forgot, I tried the Patcher 1.06 + Jevahose (PPF) And it change nothing... the game still don't want to boot with this patch... (i don't even see the intro)

Ok, I can finally boot the game
I don't have the rolling screen(because of my new plasma TV), but I have a thick grey line at the bottom of my screen. As soon as I press 'Nouvelle Partie', I can change different options(screen positioning,...), and I click 'save', the game won't start.... I have a black screen

You need to extract them with WinRAR. Just right click on one of them and press extract here.
Anyway, I got a PAL version of Eye Toy 3 and I patched it but when I play it the sound becomes offsync... the video appears faster than the audio, is there a way to fix this?

hum... the three problems those patch are suppose to resolve are the rolling screen, the colour and the sound... did you try all the patcher? Me I have different result depend on witch patcher I use
There is the 2 patcher on the first thread ( 1.06 beta and ADR), The vfix 2005 (there is 3 links just few post up) and another that I found NTSCONV http://www.megagames.com/ps2/files/NTSCONV-FrontEnd.zip (for this one you need to convert your ISO to a BIN file (I used MagicISO)
As for FFXII, I finally sucess to boot the game too, everything works great, I can play in french (subtitle, better than nothing :) and it's only with the VFIX 2005 that it work for me. I tried all my burning test on three of my tv and it's working on the third... the tv it's not at the best place for playing but... anyway...
The only question... does I finish my english game or start it all over... 80 hours... arf...
