I backed-up True Crime with no problem with my memorex dual format burner, I was using generic DVD-Rs and had no problems.

Does anyone know if there is a glich to backing up NFL Blitz Pro? I backed it up twice and both came up with the blue screen with my swap magic, then the blitz logo pops up and says loading, but it hangs up at that point. I used different burning methods both Nero and roxio, I also used cdloader, thinking that my help, but I still get the same result. Any Suggestions?

Also, I know this is an PS2 fourm but I starting to get into X-Box modding and I was wonder if anyone knows where I can find the bios and dashboards for a modded x-box, there are a lot of real vauge info on how to find them. Thanks for any help

well, then maybe we cant help you, this forum is for people that make LEGIT backups of their games. but if you have a bin and cue file, tell Nero to burn image and direct it to the cue. I write this assuming that maybe you are confused and made a backup with something other than Nero, perhaps cdrwin and ended up with a bin and cue.

yeah you'll need the NTFS file system to handle that big of a file, you'd still be able to burn it though i think

yes it makes the duplicate copy but not what the ps2 reads for, copyright* thats what the fliptop is for, it takes that out and the ps2 dunno what happen since it will used the swap as the copyright read

you always need some sort of mod, whether it's a real chip, fliptop, or swipecard, etc. commercial burners cannot burn the boot sectors of a game, therefore another mod has to be in place to either bypass the boot sectors or allow you to boot the sectors then swap with a backup game.

the easiest way is to just do a straight 1:1 copy like you would with any other cd. obviously cd based games can be done with a cd burner, and dvd based games are to be done with a dvd burner.

well i recommend the fliptop cover. Installation is the easiest of all mods by far. there is nothing to solder or place "in circuit"(like no-solder chips) so there is virtually no electronic risk to the system. I have a 10 year old son that uses his fliptop daily and he has never had a problem with it. for ease of operation i would recommend a solder in chip so the games are direct boot instead of booting with a swap disc then switching for the backup, but then you will need to find a skillfull person that can solder on a very small level. and even then, most shops will not warranty thier work since you are adding a component to an electrical device that it was not designed for. so in your particular case, i would recommend the fliptop cover and swap magic discs, which are available at alot of places but i personally have had great luck ordering from modchipkits.com, they have the cover and swap disc combo for $38.

easiest way would be through many choices

clone cd
alcohol 120
or nero

NERO is the way to got for direct 1:1 copy, just do that copy to dvd-r or dvd+r if u have a new model no later than v5... then u need a mod chip or flip top, i recommend the flip top

yes i agree that the easiest way is sifting thru the heap of software that will get the job done and find whats right for you personally, but since said he used Nero for movies i refered to that in my example.

this is a bit confusing, are you refering to the fact that versions beyond 5 have an easier time reading the +R disc? If so, ok yeah. Although my friend has a V4 that reads +R discs, but only certain brands. There's been many horror stories about +R discs not reading on V4 and earlier.
