I followed th tutorial exactly. The softmod was successful, but I SEE AN Orange light while playing instead of it being green. Is this supposed to happen.

hmm it should be solid red all the time on modded mode , it should be green on retail mode and this is the rest

red = modded mode not xbox live safe

green = clean modless safe for xbox live

orange = linux/gamesave mode

flashing colors cycle = cables unpluged Or an error is found ,

flashing colors cycle = Could also be user-set on their modded dashboard - UnleashX/XBMC.

yeah i know mike but the way we set up this softmod is like the color indicating as i mentioned.... for example again on the flashing color patern then it means a/v cable unpluged or it aquire an error and request that you press A once that is done the xbox will properly load like before the error , one ex is when you try to replace the dash and it gets currpted well insted of an error code it will flash colors and request pressing A ....

can i continue to use the action replay to put game saves onto the xbox? According to codejunkiesdotcom they state that it is not advised or am i reading it wrong? Is it game saves from just this site or could i use game saves from another site? or Can i even use my action replay after softmodding?

I am attempting to update a friends xbox dashboard so I could softmod. How do I do this with Halo 2 map pack? I inserted the game but I can't get to the main menu to select "XBOX Live" so it could be updated.

Thanks

You update the ms dash with the Halo 2 game disc. Not the Map pack.

do you have an error code? if its 21 and you can load a softmod then you can re mod it . if no dash no acess of anything then you HAVE to otherwise u can chip it or toss it away But ,man a hotswap is a matter of 3 mins at most sooo simple
