Slysoft posted a new version of AnyDVD yesterday, 6.3.0.0. I'm mentioning it here because the changelog mentioned Hairspray.
Quote:
Fix (DVD): Although CloneDVD2 worked with "Hairspray" (US), AnyDVD ripper aborted with a "VobSet 1" error. This is fixed now.

I finally got around to backing this title up. I must say, after reading all the issues on here i was expecting problems. DVDFab HD, FixVts, DVD Shrink, ImgBurn. No issues, just time consuming!

That's why it's nice having software with good support. DVDIdle updates got the job done once again. ;)

I am still using RI4M wizard and it's woring on everthing, (I like older movies mostly) but had trouble with Hairspray, it was being sticky, get it... :D (I'll keep my day job)

Dvdfab 30 day trial (DVDFab Platinum 4.0.3.6 Beta / 4.0.3.2) works like a charm, wow! I was impressed. Straight to an iso file on the c: drive. I love it. I'd buy it but, $50?!! and how long will it work? Until they (MPAA) find a new way to deter technology.

Two very enthusiastic "Thumbs Up" for DVDfab!!

it will contuine to work because the program updates for the newer releases with problems, they do have a free version dvdfab decrypter if you want to use that its more steps but works well

I'm with ZoSoIV. DVDIdle keeps the program updated for new twists in copy protection. Over the past several months, they've pretty much been the leader at getting those updates out. It's only a few movies that cause the problems, but you hear more on the forums because those are the releases needing the most help.

DVDFab Platinum is a bargain compared to buying AnyDVD + CloneDVD 2 from it's competitor, Slysoft. Those euros are trading a little over 40% higher than the US dollar. I'll be the prophet of doom here. LOL If you like PLatinum, buy it before the price goes up.

I'm with both Pacman and Zoso here: DvdIdle is on top of it. Three updates within a month all designed to handle the newest nasties out there.
Mad props to those fellas and/or ladies at DvdIdle.

I hope you've either got well connected friends or a pocket full of money. I'm lucky to have well placed friends.

Mad props to freeware junkies! I'm in the freeware boat and way down the river.

Though, dvdfab platinum is tempting me. :)
