Hey everyone !!!
It seems like this fliptop forum is mostly about "how to burn games" rather then the fliptop
itself.Look people !!! if you don't know how to burn games, just buy it from someone who knows
how.
Anyway after hearing all this hype about the fliptop for the PS2 from this forum,i decide to
get one.It took me 10 minutes to install it.I made my first copy "Capcom vs. snk 2" a DVD basegame on
to a CD-R(Khypermedia) it was a success burn, one on 1x speed the the other 2x.
Since I do not have a swap magic disc, I use action replay.I boot it up and the game did not load.
I tried "Marvel vs. capcom 2" a CD-R base game on a Khypermedia CD-R.Again it was a success burn.
I tryed to boot it and it works.I also learn that burning backups is time consumming and cost
tons of cash trying to get the right media to work.If you realize by then you'll soon learn that
with all that money wasting you could've go on ebay to buy the original game for a cheap price ,that of a backup's
cost you time and money you put on it.
And so I decide to buy backups online.I ordered "Snk vs. Capcom SVC chaos" import games, and it work ,though the game
is making laser screeching noise like hell when it loads.(is this normal ?)Then I ordered a few more games.

1.simpson's hit and run
2.warhammer 40,000
3.socom us navy 2
4.Spawn armageddon
5.Dragon ball z budokai 2
6.manhunt

All these are DVD base games that is burn on to CD-R.About 3 of them failed to boot.(I use AR).These are
simpson's hit and run,warhammer 40,000,and Spawn armageddon.
Manhunt and Socom 2 plays fine untill i get around into the middle of the game.It stops loading to the next chapter/level.
Dragon ball z budokai 2 works great except the intro is cut short.I contact to seller and he told me he tested on his
Chipped (Messiah 2) Playstation 2,and it all works .My PS2 is a model 7.

Can any of you professional help me out to see what is going on here?.I will be greatly appreciated if anyone can help
me out. Please don't just explain it in one unclear sentence.

Fenderboy:- u gotta have the flip-top installed BEFORE the backup discs will work, or it's gotta have some kind of mod-chip. A totally unmodded ps2 won't read backup discs at all.

I know Rachet and Clank doeen't work , but http://www.ps2ownz.com links to a page that has CDloader fixes. Well I was wondering if they're fixes for the game people Download or are the files fixes youd have to add to the CD loader. Lastly if they are fixes then how would I go about adding them to the CDLOADER?

If you guys are lookin for a list of 'fixes' for your backups, you might wanna check out http://www.swapmagicfix.com/
they have all the games listed on there that can be 'fixed' with either cdloader or some other means...

ceno82, I'd edit your post if I was you. Talking about downloaded games, aka pirating, is a BIG no-no here!

the fixes listed on swapmagicfix.com are fixes for people that use the swap magic cd/dvd. It doesn't really matter if the games are downloaded or 'legit' backups if that's what you mean...

depends on what fix it is your talking about. Most of the fixes just tell you which version of cdloader to use.

non soder mod chip will screw your system up because it needs to draw more power then the system was set up for. It'll stress the laser more. You have a time limit when swapping the game. Games can now check to see if your using a modchip. All online games even original copies will see you have a modchip and then you can't play any of em online plus sony will know you have a chip in your system.

I have a v9/v10 ps2 and I accidentally ordered a v4-v8 fliptop cover from www.ps2case.net

Does anyone know where I can find a guide with picture, or provide instructions on how I can modify it myself to work on my v9/v10 system?
