I've found a couple new torrents up on public trackers, but I dont know if either are real.
One is titled simply as
Super Smash Bros Brawl demo [NTSC]
and the comments on it say the rar is passworded
The other one is
Smash_Bros_Brawl_NTSC_Wii-Vortex
No comments on it yet though.

yeah - please check the start date of a torrent before giving us false hope. I've been flauting my devotion (lack of social life) by checking twice daily for new torrents. if it's not from today or sooner, it's fake...

You're right...
Though those definatly werent on the torrent sites until today the dates on them are over 20 days old.
Glad I didnt try downloading either of them but somebody needs to either release an iso or post proof that it cant be ripped with current techniques.

The only way to be should about downloading the real game and not getting scam is to wait until it is on the private torrent site. Or at else wait a day or so on the public torrent site, that way it is possible for it to be the actually game.

Menus a bit hard to understand at first.

Is it a backup copy or did you import an origional disk? And if you imported can you take a few minutes out to check if it can be ripped to an iso? You dont have to share the iso or even finish ripping it for that matter. We just all want to know if the rumors of it being unrippable are true.

I did the same, no public tracker nor on any news groups.
Its just not up yet. Again. I'm not expecting it up till at least on in to tomorrow. I just think there aren't really that many people that have copies and if they do they are playing them, or at work as most of the japanese people are at the moment.

I don't get it their should be a ISO in a far away nova, floating near the bay or being hunted...Usually when does a ISO for a popular game come out?

Usually, they are floating around in a bay a day or so after. Sometimes hunters have gotten them relatively quickly. It's usually the day after or two days after.

Its been know the game is Dual Layer golden bottom so know ripping
tools are out and yes it is an import. It also has been tested on wiikey and does not work.

Wait, does this mean that SSBB (J) backup won't work on a Japanese wii with a wiikey? Also, is it now confirmed that there is no way to play SSBB (J) on a U.S. Wii with a wiikey?

OJK dosent know what he's talking about. There are multiple reports now of origional japanese disks working on US wii's with wiikey after some tinkering (I havent heard of any j disks working on j wii's with wiikey yet but if they work on US ones I dont see why they wouldnt)
Also, just because the disk has a gold bottom dosent mean that its a dual layer disk. But even if it is a dual layer it shouldnt take more than a few days for someone to figure out how to rip it.

It is just a matter of getting software to rip it correct? I've heard of people burning multiple wii games to one dual layered DVD disc.

:\ I'm worried that US originals won't work on a Wiikey system. Man...I really don't feel like unsoldering it. I could always add a power switch , but I'd need to figure out how to get the switch sticking outside of the case.
