Bro, I think they took the easy way out and just did a straight copy to a DL disk, leaving all the encryption. Unlike those of us who like to choose what to keep and use single layer disks.

I can't copy this dvd for nada!!!! just updated my Any DVD, doesn't read the dvd at all now. Changed the settings, only got through 42% before errors popped up.
DVD Decrypter didn't work either

This was mentioned before for Movie only.
I used an old version of dvdfab decrypter version 3096 and chose movie only and selected movie 1. It copied up to 99.98 percent and popup appeared where I just said ignore all. It finished and I used dvd shrink afterwards and dvd decrypter to burn.
The copy seems fine when I scan parts on my computer but will play it on my player later to check.

o.k. trust me roxio works but theres a catch. The movie will play with no problem but heres the catch. I bought this movie and wanted too make three copys for three of my lcd tvs .Using roxio to make copys is the problem it looks like your making copys but it won't play. Too solved the problem use the master copy that you made with roxio and use Nero to make copys for your home use. make sense I hope I did'nt confuse anyone Thanks again Aloha.........Calvin

ok am able to make a copy of the movie (only the movie)by using Ripit4me V. 1.6.6.0 then Encoding it with Dvd Shrink .ripit4me stop at 93% but go ahead and use Shrink in Re-athor ,movie in Title 1. and don't worry bout FixVTS for the movie has so many extras (bull Crap/protection)that wont work.

DVD Shrink -> Reauthor mode (don't open disc, go straight to reauthor) -> Title 1, 0 problems. I should mention DVD Shrink works for me most of the time, while failing for others.

I'm with ZOSO, there's no way Roxio or Nero would do this movie without a little help removing DRMs-whether SL or DL discs. I don't even think Roxio could shrink it to a SL disc-Recode could and did after the DRMs were removed for me.
If they could do it, they would be sued so fast they'd be gone from the market.

Alright...Solution to backup of Bangkok Dangerous
1. install Anydvd 6.5.0.7
2. Install Dvdfab Platium 5.1.2.2
3. insert Bangkok Dangerous
4. after a minute or two, run Dvdfab WITHOUT disabling Anydvd
5. The fox should become red at this point.
6. Exit Dvdfab.
7. Run Clonedvd (or ripper of choice) and be sure to disable bogus titles 20-25.
8. Backup with no problems.

BTW, for new protection which was found on Bangkok Dangerous (US) and Disaster Movie (US), you can turn off PathPlayer and make "Main Movie" copy (select title 1) for now. We are working on it, and it should be supported very soon.

@NINOCONTI
In the upper right corner of Fab click on the green check mark. Under DVD on the left hand side pick pathfinder - the option is there to disable.
edit: clarify correct place for pathfinder in Fab5

ditto to that I used shrink with reauthor title one and bam! it worked I played the movie and its works fine. Oh yeah I finished shrink with decryptor.

If you do disable Pathfinder, it's a good idea to go back in when you're done backing it up and change it back to Enable When Necessary.

I ripped it with Any DVD and Clone DVD 2, full copy all menus and extras. I can't tell you which version of Any DVD I used right now, will post back in a bit with the answer
Update: I had used AnyDVD 6.4.9.0 and it worked fine for me. Just the same, will update

I just burned a copy with anydvd beta 6.5.0.8 and dvdshrink 3.2. Reauthored the disc and chose only the main title, burned to disc beautifully. No issues whatsoever.
Better lucky than good....

using latest ANYDVD and DVD FAB Platinum DVD Shrink
My problem is this....
whenever I go to DVD shrink and open in re-author mode, the longest title is only like 10 minutes long (Looks to be only previews). If i try to open it the regular way (open files, then choose the folder holding the rip) it says that its only 616 MB eben though the folder says its 7.2 GB.
If I use DVD FAB platinum (Movie only) it will not bring the audio over. the "copy DVD-audio (TS folder)" option is grayed out. so i can get video but no audio.
Anyone else run into this problem? Same thing happens if I use ANYDVD rip to harddrive...comes out to something a little over 600 MB.
Need help!!

If you disable A1 scanner in Videodvd settings, anyDVD latest beta version 6508,all problems are solved and anydvd works normally with NeroRecode and I'm sure shrink and clone dvd too.
After you get the burn try to play on your pc, mine has audio drop out while opening credits rool as does the ORIGINAL store bought disc which won't even load to play in Power DVD without AnyDVD enabled.
Both play normally in stand alone dvd.
Also the disable pathplayer in latest DVDFab version does NOT work for my disc.

heres what i did to make a perfect copy of just the main movie of bangkok dangerous. i used dvdfab 4306 (i think) it is the latest version of 4 before they went to 5. but anyway, i put the disk in, it tried to read it and then it came up with the retry abort and ignore box, i had to hit ignore twice, and then it opened the disk. i just selected the main movie and started. it took about 45 minutes to read and about 10 to write. i checked the copy, comes up fine plays, i have audio and everything. i didn't fully watch it because i had things to do, i did skip around in it and it worked. i am going to watch it tonight and after i do, i will report back to see if it did fully work.

I just used good old dvd shrink- went to re-author then put bangkok Dangerous disk in and chose video 1 -set audio and pressed backup to copy and burn

I JUST MADE A 99% PERFECT COPY OF THE ENTIRE MOVIE BANGKOK DANGEROUS WITH ALL THE MENU'S AND EXTRA'S. ONLY 2 SMALL GLITCHES WHEN I TESTED THE BURNED COPY OUT THOUROUGHLY!
