i have a 2.71 but how do i know if i have 2.71 SE-A, 2.71 SE-B, 2.71 SE-B', 2.71 SE-B'',or 2.71 SE-C. and what is the difference?

Listen and everyone should refer to this post. If you need to find what version your psp is go to System Settings -> System Information -> and there's your version. Again don't go for 2.71 SE-A, 2.71 SE-B, 2.71 SE-B', 2.71 SE-B'',or 2.71 SE-C because they're all old custom firmware's. I'll say this, if your psp is below 3.03 or at 3.03 you can downgrade using this thread.

Once your at 1.5 use my post earlier
"There's basically no risks, its like a normal PSP update. Devhook is complicated to use. Custom firmware's have recovery mode and you can easily just drag and drop the .iso and .cso's into the ISO folder in the root of the memory card and just go to game -> memory stick -> and load em ;-).

up to what firmware will 3.40 OE-A allow me to play? becuase righ tnow im using devhook 0.46 and i only get everything up to 2.71

Again, erase everything on your memory card, go back to 1.5 and update to 3.40 OE-A via my guide.

Plug in the power cord.
You can, and probably should unplug it from your PC though.

i started a thread bout this but no1s replied
i have a 1.5 runnin devhook .52 and its emuin 3.03 and i have my ps3 with the newest fw
so im tring to get remote play to work but i cant get it to
the problem comes when regrestering the device
so any help
ps
moneymik2 remove ur e-mail address ull get a sh*t load of spam and its agenst the forum rules as them to pm u instead

Hey Im new here and I just had a couple of questions. My friend recently sent me a PSP cheat device for Liberty City Stories and I cant seem to be able to use it. My firmware is unfortunately 3.40 and I have no idea what to do or what to download. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.

What are all of you doing? this is not a OE FW thread.(search for it)
This thread is only for Devhook.
ddemon23 you can not use 3.40 FW in Devhook.(only dump it) we need a new Devhook so it works.
you need a UMD game in your drive so iso's work.
leonchoo this is a devhook thread.
Snake526 you can not do anything with a 3.40 psp.

Hi I just bought a psp and upgraded to 3.5, and I regret it because i heard you can download games with 3.03 by downgrading to 1.5, but there is no downgrader for 3.5 yet, but my question is can i play downloaded games on my psp (3.5) or not?
I also have a 3 year in-store warranty, if needed.

by "downloaded games" do you mean games/demos made available by Sony. If thats what you mean, than yes you can play those games. If you mean downloaded game ISO's, then no your are screwed until a downgrader for your 3.5 firmware is developed. You wont be doing anything that isn't 100% legitimate with your PSP for a while.
I was going to say that your PSP warranty has nothing to do with the situation, but... If somehow you can trade in your PSP by finding something physically wrong with it, then you could possibly get a new PSP with an older firmware Possibly. Whatever you do, just dont say the reason you want to trade it in for a new one, is because you want to downgrade the firmware. lol

Even though this is a DEVHOOK thread, I suggest everyone who use's devhook to switch to custom firmware. It's a lot easier and for me so far no problems. Also if your firmware is above 3.03 aka 3.11, 3.30, 3.40, 3.50 your screwed until a downgrader comes out.

hi i am new here and as not as good as you guys i have a psp 1100k with the 3.40 sony update (not the custom) i live in srilanka and i got my psp from srilanka about a month ago the dirty basteds gave me a value pack with no software umd and actualy told me that if i would conect a usb cable to my pc then i could see the psp screen on my pc like the ps2 just to make me buy it but any way i would realy like to use dark alexes custom firmware 3.40 on my psp becouse id also like to use remote joy which dose not work with stock OS i would realy appreciate all your help thanks.

I understand that you are in need of help Pixels. But you do not have a Devhook Problem/Question. Also, try looking before you post. If you would have read any of the posts above, you may have seen that if you have Sony's 3.40 firmware, there is nothing that you can do with your PSP that is not 100% legitimate as deemed by Sony. You must wait for a downgrader to be developed for your current 3.40 firmware.

What part of "that is not a Devhook Problem/Question" dont you understand Pixels?
Thats right, you have NO way of installing custom firmware 3.40 OE-XX, until a downgrader is made available. That may be a while.

sort of a silly question, but im curious, with devhook u can run 1.50 and sort of another fw. Let's say that u were to run 3.03, could u make that an 3.03 OE and 1.50 or it cant be done, i no there's no point since u can already run iso's and stuff, but im just wonderin:D.
