If you think the xbox didnot have trouble selling and the xbox 360 is selling so fast and the only problem is the shortage, then please show something to support that theory. Facts are one thing and opinions are another. I can google and show fact about the sales numbers. They are not that hard to find for either system.

if you think that konami will really let mgs4 look bad on ps3 you are sadly mistaken, that game will look beautiful. trust me.
And its a fact that xbox 360 is not the fastest selling system to date.
See i've argued through out this threads with facts and no one ever came back with facts to argue back, just opinions..
So since you xbox fans have been running your mouths all thread long about sony copying ms with the online feature.
Now I have to ask, what are you going to say about Ms coming out with the handheld system?

couldnt you say ms copied sony with a home console? everyone copies unless something is inovative and new, like bluray and the cell.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

in what way exactly, what have they shown which actually looks great or is not a lie. the xbox 360 has launched, has overcome the first lot of crap games and is moving on nicely with games like ghost recon and oblivion, which will keep me busy until games like gears of war and huxley, etc, release later on this year.
the xbox 360 is the fastest selling console in the uk but i am not so sure about the world.
@kookoo, you said that b/c the xbox 360 is not selling, basically means that it is not all that great, well, that is a complete load of bull, for example over here in the uk a majority of people are listening to rap music, but that does not mean in any way that its good.
Joeva i can not speak for everyone but i said before that sony is copying M$ when it comes to xbox live but obviously everyone needs to copy inorder to evolve, it just seems right now that sony is doing a lot of it, with an announcement that they will be bringing out a controller like nintndo rev. also you said why is M$ making a handheld, as they would be copying sony, but was it not nintendo that released the first proper handheld.
anubis you said "couldnt you say ms copied sony with a home console?" well didn't sony copy sega or nintendo and what about sony going into mp3's, and all the other shit they are in.

i knew someone would mention that. but yes they did copy, everyone copied everything. wasnt magnavox odyssey the first console?

well yes and no, although the realtime trailer of Heavenly Sword, which looks very impressive and shows great gameplay, but its not at all the best i have seen. the best i have seen have come from games like, war devil which shoed of a trailer last e3 whcih was just as good as killzone, but everyone thought it was just a cgi trailer until they said that it was real time. also huxley have shown 2 very impressive real time trailers. but yes Heavenly Sword for the ps3 is deffinatly one that i will be getting.

*sigh* look, sony has in no way said that the controller will look like revs, it said that the controller was going to be changed to another unspecified design to be shown at E3. Why would you say it was going to look like revs? that was just a fake statement with no factual backround. come on.

Well i know that what Joeva said may sound biased to some who are from a smaller country. There just is not as much money to be made there. I feel you on that one and hope no one gets offended but the bigger countries are what microsoft and sony are worried about. Sorry to say this UK and these other countries. Yall dont have as much influence in the video gaming market and i dont think bragging about the xbox360 or ps3 selling well in your area is something that is of importance to either of these companies. They want the big dogs. The companies want the countries that are going to be the most influence when it comes to the deciding factor as to who will be moving the most consoles, marketing the most games, and making the most money.
We all should know that the xbox360 is not going to sell like hotcakes in japan and china. So where does that leave microsoft in their quest for dominance in the next gen of consoles???? Well i am not sure but it is a good bet they wont be in the drivers seat.

cause that is why sony makes an abundance of jap games, they want to keep the strong hold in jap and asian countries just incases ms levels with them in the americas and europe, but for ms to get close or pass sony they have to get a stake of the asian countries, and thats why it doesn't look too good for them

The Uk and Europe are starting to become big players in the console stakes. I think both Microsoft and Sony know this which is why they both decided on a worldwide launch.
Recently PS2 sold over 100 million worldwide consoles. The split was
North America 40.6 mill
Europe 37.1 mill
Asia 22.2 mill
Margins in Europe are also higher.
I'm from the Uk like Rabbity and although I don't share his XBOX fervour I can see that Microsoft have taken a good lead but eventually I believe Sony loyalty will win out.

also you think that i think that sony is redesigning a new controller to make it like nintendos, well no they are not what i mean is that sony are going to make on top of the one they will have at launch another one whcih will be like ninendos rev.
and i know that the uk is not at all in anycase the main priority of the major conosle leaders, but when zelda said that xbox 360 was the fastest console in the world, i went into google and all i could find was that the xbox 360 was the fastest selling console in the uk.

whoa this topic has turned into a bull festival.
its just fighting and more fighting. everyone here is allowed to express their opinions. if you dont like it, explain why you dont like it but dont personally atack them in some way. if you have reasons that you can justify to yourself then fair enuf, people must respect the fact that you have an opinion just as much as they do. hypocracy runs rampant too. and many other menial forms of discrimination are mentioned aswell.cut that out and then we can actually have a discussion again, instead of a random rumble using hollow information and points.
Don't judge the consoles by specs, more isnt always better, espec in PS3 specs.i know the truth, ask if u wanna know.......

the truth is the majority of us have ps2 across many economic lines, but sony did report a surge in uk ppl buying ps2 over the last 6 months. So basically you are comparing the decling buying of ps2s in us to the rising buying of ps2 in uk, i don think that is a fair stat on either side, ya kno? i don't kno, but accordin to studies over the last year uk start buying more consoles and games.. don't ask me why, idk.
like i said, nothing talks more than money in their world, at the end of the day if you want sony to make more euro games then you have to be a major purchaser, why do you think so many asian type games are released, they keep the customers happy and buying, you start buying more systems sony is going to put out more soccer games and such to make sure you keep buying otherwise, well they'll focus on where they kno they can sell.
and as for you my friend rabbity, you are correct it was mr zelda who made the erroneous comment about 360 being the fast selling in the world. So my bad for arguing that one point against you...
however you still didn't talk about any thing else that i argued in my last post, as you sorta been doing all thread, are you dodging me?!

This is in the PS3 forum, so take that into consideration that PS3 is winning the thread. But the truth is, PS3 will outsell the 360, how can they not?

In all fairness ps2 was out longer however it still sold at a fast rate. Xbox during one stretch came 30k units close to ps2 but never out sold them in any 45 day stretch. truth is at one stretch gc xbox and ps2 were pretty close in console sales, then sony broke it open. So basically xbox never sold at a faster rate like i said nor did it ever really stand a chance.
that proportion is about 1-2.8

xbox is not doing horable in markiting and all brand new machines have problimes when they first come out the ps3 will too

I dont think 360 is doign good because of the shortage..
well they wanted to sell so many...but now its doing HORRIBLE because of stock... AND its doing worse than the original xbox IN SALES.. not in sale rate. who cares how fast they are sold.. what if xbox sold faster than ps2, in like year one..... trust me xbox360 sales are gonna plumit a bit because of ps3... as far as i remember it was the same with the dreamcast.. it was doing so good...selling fast and everything till ps2..then it all went down.

you're wrong sales and sales rate are a bit different, if xbox sold at a faster rate it would be big, cause to ms that would mean that if they came out the same time as sony they would have sold more, when you talk about the launch of xbox you are talking about how many consoles they sold in a 45 day period. that is a sales rate.
If sony sold 100 million systems in 5 years but microsoft sold 80 in 3 years then sales rate would mean something big. Yes sony sold more but microsoft sold more in less time [this is jus a damn example],
so sales rate is important, very especially when you deal with systems coming out years apart..
come on people hit with facts and reason yeesh

The only comparison I'm making is in the total number of sales since the original launch of the console, nothing more. It simply says that alot of small European countries whilst having little power on there own have quite a bit of muscle when combined hopefully leading to games aimed at a broader market.
