Maybe you have the wrong firmware or something.Try connecting your player to the computer and see what happens.

Hi everyone

I bought a MP4 player (iSlim 2GB) from MP4Nation.com for my wife for Mother's Day....so far so good I have not had any problems loading music, pictures or vids. The past few days I have noticed that the player doesnt go more that two hours before it has to be charged. Could these be a sofwarwe issue or is it a bad battery....if so can it be replaced.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

It's probably just that the battery doesn't last long. You can replace it of you want.

I also had the problem of corrupted files, so I formatted it, and although the program didn't say it was finished, everything on the player was erased. (I used the software that came with the player)
Also I used the software to convert an AVI movie to the mp4 player's format (I forgot what it was). After dragging it to the player, it didn't work. Then I noticed that the movie on my player had a dash in front of it (-), so I put one in front of my TV movie file, and it worked! Just wondering if anybody else's works that way????

I'm not really sure about this, but try opening your player without damaging it and see what the battery looks like and see if it is identical to the one in this website.Hope this helps!

hi, i am having this same problem, i know that the battery is charged, but it still only has the hourglass.
i think the memory is a samsung 4gb. The manual says that i dont need to use the cd unless i have windows 98, and i have xp. I did try using the cd though and i downloaded a few setup things, but i really dont know what i am doing.
I am pretty computer illiterate and im not even sure what to use to download songs onto it, i normally just listened to songs then had them in my itunes recently played when i was using an ipod. So if anyone knows the reason all i see is an hourglass or could give me a link to somewehre that shows me how to format (the liks on this page dont work for me) or what this firmware thing is or tell me what program to use to download music it would be much appreciated.

ok... i think my problem is that my computer isnt seeing the mp3 player. I am supposed to not have to download the driver from the cd because i have higher than windows 98, but i think i do. So i tried downloading the "USB mass storage class driver" from the cd under a win98 file. When i tried it i got the "windows cannot open this file cause it doesnt know what created it" BS. I tried the use the web to find appropriate program, but all it got me was the windows live search page. Can anyone tell me how i should go about finding the driver for it?

Ok I am not sure but I think that you have a dead player or have got the wrong firmware.I don't know if this might help but try and follow some of the instructions from here.
I hope this will try and fix your problem.

A letter will be allocated to your mp4 player when you connect it.For example:
(G:)Removable Disk
Right click the picture file you want to send and go to send to and then your removable disk.

There isn't a special folder. All you do is send the movie file to the mp4 and then you go to your movie player and play it.It's probably a wrong format.Check the instructions and see if that helps.

I have just got a chinese MP4 player, when I try to play video files it only seems to recognise AVI files but if I use AVI Convertor then when I try to play the file I get 'file format error'.
I have downloded AMV Convertor and converted the file to AMV but it is not seen by the player

I converted from a WMV file and both the WMV and AVI play on my PC

I can't think what to do next, Any help anyone?

AMV Converter is the main type of format used in mp4 players. You can download that from mympxplayer.org in the downloads section and if that isn't the right one, search for the other ones in the donwload section.to put them on just copy and paste them into your players directory. If you want to format it,the instructions can be found here.
hope this helps!
