Yeah, I have to agree. All the people who say that no matter the price, they are still going to get one are probably going to think twice when they actually have to pay the 600 dollar price tag.

i wont. its really not that much for the time i'll be putting into it with all the things that will keep me from every being bored.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

If you're really serious about paying for it no matter the price you're not gonna change your mind. We still have alot of time to think about it so when the time come you'll have already conditioned yourself and your pocket to stand the cost and not even think twice.
So i say agian no matter the price I'm buying it.

Ok, again not to go against you guys here, but doesn't it make you irate that Sony is basically charging you $600 just to play one of their games and buy the more expensive version of a movie? I know that it is cool and it will be kick ass but the illogic of paying that much to play video games is overwhelming that other feeling.

things are only costing us more as time goes on because our dollar is dying thanks to someone. i enjoyed many games for my ps2 like the timesplitters series, moh frontline, gta series, ffx, ffxi, and crash bandicoot:twoc. i believe it was a nice investment, also saving me from needing a real dvd player. i know i'll like alot of the game on the ps3, and i'll have a job to be able to pay for the games (ahaha my mom always paid for them..usually) and my firends will also have a ps3 so all the more fun.

yea the ps3 will have good games and i believe bluray will win if i may quote " so who will buy the first 100,000 units? not me. toshiba HD-DVD machines are already being sold for a discount I hope those buyers used a credit card so they can take the players back for a refund." Home theater magazine. and later they go on to say bluray is the best " when i saw Blu-ray demoed, all i could imagine is how unbelievable the image will look on a 50-plus inch screen the picture, depth and clarity were mind expandingly awesome" theater magazine. so those r huge statements also cmon how could u say theconsoule is a risk with ff13 on it???

"our dollar is dying thanks to someone. i enjoyed many games for my ps2 like the timesplitters series, moh frontline, gta series, ffx, ffxi, and crash bandicoot:twoc."
firstly i thought you were permenantly banned, lol.
secondly i am happy the us dollar is dying, at least that way when i come on holiday or if i move over to america I WILL GET MORE, muhahaha.
and then living in the uk all this time would not have been a waste.
all the games you stated above are on xbox except for final fantsy.
"cmon how could u say theconsoule is a risk with ff13 on it???"
just b/c you like finaly fantasy or you think its not a risk does not mean i will not. i never liked any of the ps2 games apart from a select few, and when i say taking a risk its just that i do not want to really spend that much on a console that will have games that i do not want to buy, now i would call that taking a risk.

yes most are on the xbox, but most were first on the ps2, a trusted system i already owned and cared for. i'd name a few more games but i cant think right now. i also played that guitar thing today and it was a pretty fun time especialy with high friends.

He also believes optical drives and HDD's will become obsolete within a few years. Then what's with the Blu Ray?? LOL

its true that ps3 will probably have better launch games and it is also true that i do not own any xbox 360 games at the momment, but that does in no way make me feel i made a wrong move by buying the 360, only that MS are slow to get started and from what i can see next year will be great for both consoels regarding games, if e3 was anything to go by.

Why have you got no games Rabbity??
For some multiplayer fun whilst mates are round I have...
FNR3, Table Tennis, and Top Spin 2. Which are all a good laugh.
Too cure my need for speed I have PGR3, Burnout, Moto GP '06 and Ridge Racer.
For online gaming I play GRAW and COD2.
Condemned is for scaring the g/f lol.
Oblivion cures my RPG needs.
That's 11 games i'm playing and still enjoying - this is by far the greatest console i've ever had.
(If you don't think I have 11 games, check my gamercard and you'll see I actually have 13 - but Full Auto and Tomb Raider are crap).
If the PS3 can go another leap in front of this I will be overjoyed.

i believe optical drives will be obsolute within 15 years. they will be too slow too keep up with todays media, and flash media will be able to be so small you can have a 50 gig usb stick.

Surely, you don't believe his point that the HDD would also become obsolete? They may reduce in size, but it is silly to say there will be no need for them. For one thing I wouldn't be happy with all my personal stuff on a server belonging to any company..

When the storage in flash media is sufficent and the manufactures feel that copy protection on them are good enough we'll be saying bye bye to disk and hello once again to "cartridges".
Right????

Ok i get replacing optical with flash logical because it's faster and more durable. However, he's thinking of replacing hd with online storage that's just along way off unless you have a 3gb/s connection in you home
