them not playing the game corrrectly means its about burning it correctly
i really wanna know if someone beat me to it i only wasted 1 dvd the second was perfect (i used the eminent release)

Had No Problem getting this game to work!!!! After downloading the RAR Fix files that is.............
Works well with Ver 7 - PS2 with Swap Magic 3.6
this is the NTSC version, changed it to PAL Format using my Swap Magic DVD Disc first!!!!
I found that the Sound of the Intro Skips, but nothing else seems to be wrong so far!!!!!
Used Sony DVD-R as Copy Media at 1x Speed on Alcohol 120%, Worked First time!!!!!, its all down to Media & Speed of Burn!!!!

Tried making a back up of this game, but I only had Maxell 16x dvd-r's so it didn't work out too well. Since my ps2 is like 5 years old, it doesn't seem to like Maxell with my swap magic and fliptop. But it does play flawlessly on my brother's ps2 who has the same set up as me, but with the slimline. So, if you're having problems, just try a straight burn at 8x with some good media and everything should work out. I'll try it again once my Verbatim discs come in the mail.

got this game to work perfectly.

I know I'm late to the party, I've had Bully since it was available to download but I was playing FFXII forever.
I read what everyone said and alot of people are right. This game seperates the bad, media bad burns, and weak lasers from the rest. Just looking at how many files there are when you open up the ISO is bad news because you know the laser is going to have to be going from one end of the disc to the other.
Anyway I have yet to get the game to work for more that 10 minutes without it freezing on a cutscene. I'm gonna clean the laser now and I noticed that when I burned it using Alcohol 120 it was 4400mb and when I used DVD Decryptor before it was 4600mb. So maybe this time it will work.
I am using Sony DVD-R's with media code SONY16D1. According to the media guide that makes them 1st class and I have never had a problem with them on over 100 burned games.
UPDATE: I got it to work flawlessly using Alcohol 120 and burning at 2X. I also used Swap Magic 2 instead of 3.3 just for the heck of it. I can't believe how much faster the game loads and the laser makes very little noise.

I'm quite new to this and Bully was my 2nd d/l I burnt it on Mitsubushi??? DVD-R on Nero at 2.4 and it froze at this first loading screen. Burnt it again on DVD dycypter at x4 and it seems ok.

to help you, you need to provide media (media id/code) and burner used to burn the actual disc info. plus if it was dl'd or copied for an original

I am new to all this but I hope this helps someone out there. I burned this about six times following a bunch of things I have read on this post. Using the cogswap exploit and Grand Theft Auto San andreas as my PS2 game used in the loading process I was getting the same thing many on this board ave been experiencing. Long load times and I couldn't get past the part when you first walk into the principals office. After reburning a sixth time this time with my internet connection off I noticed that the Bully dvd had more information on it then San Andreas, So I looked for a game that had more info than bully, GTA:Vice City and used that in the cogswap process. This time the game worked with no problems. So for kicks I decided to try out one of the "coasters" and it worked too. I hope this helps ease the frustration some are having. Some of those bad burns may not be so bad. Oh and th working copies were burned on sony media.

mem card exploit with cogswap... heres my results
attempt 1: fujifilm 8x +r at 4x, black screen, no boot
attempt 2: Verbatim 16x -r at 4x, cogswap screen, no boot
attempt 3: fujifilm 8x -r at 4x, boot!
gta: vice city helped load times a TON! i had used Final Fantasy X right before and the load times we horrible.
i have a final in 5? hours and instead of studying i just played bully for ~4 hours straight.
Working Config: Fujifilm 8x -r burnt at 4x with DVD Decrypter. booted the burn using cogswap with GTA: Vice City as the middle disk.

I used Verbatim 16x DVD-R, burnt at 4x speed using DVD Decrypter and the game seems to work.. I did notice the odd sound which was slightly out of sync but it certainly wasnt a problem which affected overall gameplay.
I also ran a test burn to see if the iso file was ok on a traxdata valuepack DVD-R and that booted and allowed some gameplay with no noticeable drawbacks apart from the console seemed to struggle more with loading in general i.e console making more noise.
I also use Swap Magic 3.6 to play the games and so far I have reached the 6.0% completion point iof bully without no problems (touch wood).

If I have a ripper 3.41 I've wouldn't have these problems ?? And, when I have PAL console and NTSC game, games always run slow and when I playing it slow too ??

This is doin ma head in!!!! I have burnt loads of coasters and i really am not amused :(. My burner supports + only and i aint buyin a new burner. I tryin Alcohol to burn it now. I'll tell u da results.

COME ON!!! Works perfectly with Alcohol 120% read and burn image! Played to 20.8% of the game and no crashes or anything has hapened perfect copy!

I used swap magic 3.6-> cdloader 7-> gta vice city and burnt it on a fujifilm DVD+R at 6x and so far so good although loading time's aren't so greAt =)

hey goys i need help.....
I burnt bully just normally(not rebuilt)with the speed of 4X using EMTECH but it loads up and everthing but when it is loading the main gameplay bit where it starts of, it tells me to put in the game disk or close the tray. Why is that plz help?
And i am using swapmagic 3.6
