mannn ive wasted 5 discs, i tried 3 TDK before i found this forum..
read the disc compatability list.
went to town
got 2 philips DVD+R and 2 sony DVD-R
burned one philips, it worked...kinda...for a while...haha...skipping and eventually crashed...
2nd one didnt even load hehe
just realised its panasonic that is good not phillips, so im glad i wasted 10bux (nz$) on those 2 discs that were absolute trash.
the sony i havent tried, this guys dvd burner only supports + not - haha...but his laptop has -R support so when he brings that home ill see if that works..
.
im thinkin about buyin a new dvd writer, any suggestions?
I just wanna PARTY!~

Wow, ok I have burned the game from the orginal copy, and at first it was the same problem, but then I tried the original game and even that did the skipping. So, I went into my PS2 and looked around and saw that the item I was using was blocking the laser to do a full read. I then tried it again with both versions of the game and they both work perfectly. Man do I feel like a dumb ass. :P

No, there's not a problem with the iso. It works perfectly, 1st time if you burn to a good quality media. I use RITEK G05 8x DVD-R, have done for over 2000 games, and every one loads up perfectly 1st time, all the time. Never had a single problem with any game - 100% success rate.
Always 1st with 100% working PS2 Online Game DNA$ IDs!!

The item I had that was blocking the laser was a piece of paper that used to hold that switch in place instead of using the swap magic pieces. The paper trick works. XD

I just got this game only a few days ago and burned mine with Alcohol 120% lowest speed as I always do on Fujifilm DVD +R (only type my small town had at that the time)but it is Ritek R03 and it worked perfectly. Been playing for about 4 hours now with no problems.

Hi ive read alot of people havion problems with this i did at first as well but then i read on another forum that u should use good quality media and DVD Decrypter i tried that first didnt work and then read another and it said to clos all applications and even turn off internet connection i thought it wouldnt work but i tried it i made an iso from the original and without rebuildin it or anyfin i just turned off everything andjust burned it at half the speed my buffer stayed at 100% and amazingly once it finished it worked like a charm smooth no skipping in sound or anything and the load times were normal. I usedd Mitsubshi DVD-R and a Lite on burner and evertyng worked iam using swap magim 3.6

I dont think it needs to said not to have excess apps running in the background. That should be a given. Apps + internet + whatever else = more ram being used = more of a chance of a bad burn. Glad you got it working though.

just backed up my original of bully and played for 30 minutes with no problems. i noticed most of the talk was about people with sm and i have a hard mod dsm3. DVD Decrypter burned at 4x with verbatim 16x -r media. hopefully when i play longer there are no issues. ace is right quality media and decent burn speed and shoud be no issues.

Well Ace
u are so screwing off n00bs here
u have a good burner as well as a good firm for it OK
BTW its not the fucking Media, its the way you burn them and mostly depends on your firmware
i use a rebadged liteON (TDK) and i flashed it to a 1213X (i think)
a lil slow but works great
i burned bully to a DVD-R ,no booktyping,on an LG blank they r not even in third class media ,and they work flawlessly with me at least

come talk to me in ten years when your media wont play and tell me it has nothing to do with media. media has to do with present and future playing. not trying to cause problems, but if you read the forums it's not just for consoles but any backup's, media play's a huge part. it's media, firmware and burn speeds along with what program you prefer to use.

hell u r right
but these people can't even start the game
while an average media should at least play correctly a couple of times
don't u think man
edit what do u think of LG Dvds never heard any reviews bout them
they seem good after i thought they sucked (nothing next to TY,VB i know )but TY,VB r quiet expensive here in egypt its cheaper to ship a 500 dvd spindle

i read somewhere, i believe here on this site that some lg's had coded out as ty's. whether this is true i am unsure. i am corrected retro_rc you should at least be able to play a couple of times, even though the crappy media could screw up the laser. this whole process is about trial and error.
