can anyone tell me how to burn wii games?
i'm new to burning my own games(for the wii)and keep failing more than suceeding. i've read all about what to do but for some silly reason most discs keep failing to write properly. i've tried using IMB Burn and Express Burn but when its finished writing the discs and is doing the verification it says on both writing programs that there is an error on the disc and it cant finish. i've read that the slower you burn the discs the better the results will be. i have a HP Pavilion t819.uk which i use but i cant figure out how to slow down the writing process on both the programs mentioned above. when i push burn on the 2 programs i've already set ( both programs) to record at the slowest speed but it writes at 4x speed instead of what i've told the program to write it at.
if anyone can help please tell me how to sort this problem out it would be most appreciated.
thanks in advance, phil

You could just have a bad disc image, or you are useing "cheap" dvds. I copy all my games to Philips Lightscribes, and never once had a problem. Your burn speed of 4x is fine, that shouldnt be giving you bad burns.

Anyhow anyone needing any help I will gladly help on this side. I ordered the chip, does anyone know anyone that can do the soldering in CA or should I just do it myself, is it an easy job?
Let me know, and thanks for all the community help!

GameCopyPro is a known scam. Forget about it. LOL at the clickbank link. Sheesh you can hear the mentality of "SCAM" in his voice.....
And take that link out of your signature, man. Have some decency!

Hi guys, I just bought a Wii and sent it off to be chipped (Wiikey2). Didn't even hook it up yet.. anyway my question is, what current DVD drives can I use to backup my Wii games???
The original post on this thread suggesting the LG-8164b,etc drives is very old, what current DVD drives can I use?? I have a Pioneer DVD recorder but it doesn't read Wii games :(
Please advise :)

I've been told by couple of colleagues that LG GCC-4480B works fine for WII dump beside LG 816x drives. Is it true?

Tried last night GCC 4480 without success. So it confirmed this doesn't work but some one out there could write a memroy dump command easily for on of the recent dvd drives!!!
Soon or later we're going to rung out of these drives or laser will eventually gives way.
Any thoughts?

Any one try to add the firmware of LG816x drives to any of the recent haatachi or LG DVD drives.
I don't mind testing one of my drives if any one can provide the firmware of LG 816x.

What is the firmware meant to do to the 816x dvd roms? my 8164B works fine, except i did try to read my "super smash bros Brawl" cd and it didnt work for some reason!
Mario and Sonic worked fine, i played it from my backup version last night.
Would the firmware update fix my problem?

I am trying to backup Carnival Games for the Wii. I am using Vista and an LG drive. I used the Rawdump 2.0 to dump the file. It finished fine but now i can't see to find it anywhere on my computer? Any thoughts? Is there a way to see where the files through Rawdump are stored? Thanks!

have not tries Dump yet but most programs save the dump in their folder that is where you ahve launched the program from. Otherwise you could always search the hard disk for you image as *.ISO if you you don't know name of your image.

Did you use Rawdump to rip SSBB? If so that was your problem.. USe Friidump instead and it should work..

This is the backup file of your game. You need Imageburn, nero or use Isobuster to view/burn this image on the DVD. ISO itself can not be run.

That's the first place I looked for the file. All that's there is:
Rawdump.exe
rdump.dll
readme.txt
Should I just try to get through using Friidump? I've never used it but if it would work I'd be willing to give it a try....
Thanks for all responses!!
