I am using DVD shrink to back up a DVd. i am not sure if there isa problem with my dvd drive. i put the disk in and start shrink. But if the disk stops spinning before i can enter all the name of the folder to shrink, the disk will not run again and it all hangs. I haer it trying to spin and clicking. What is that.?

Is it only when spinning a dvd will work?

use vlc see if it can play the dvd if it can then we can assume the dvd drive is ok,in which case install dvdfab hd decrypter,use that to rip then you can edit the dvd with shrink,be sure to set dvdfab output to dvd 9 for the rip
