I havent downgraded any PSPs in a long while and I recently purchased this PSP Go with OFW 6.37, so I did my research and apparently some 3000 model psps can only be soft moded with HEN?
Ive been trying to find a tutorial for mine but Im not quite sure if its possible.
well, PSP Go? thats the flip model huh? weelll..... what you need to do is find the eboot for the 6.39 MEv3 and the 6.39 OFW eboot and then in your update folder put the OFC (names 639.PBP) and the MEv3 (named EBOOT.PBP) and there should be an update for you to start, if you get a message saying your battery must be at 78 that means % (=P) and if it just goes straight to the update then stop, and retry (there should be an unpacking message) i think that this is working on the PSP go, or at least thats what ive read... also, if that doesnt work, try looking on youtube for a video instructing how to install the PRO (6.20) CFW, there will be 3 or 4 links in the description : ) its called something like "How to mod PSP 6.31, 6.32, 6.34, 6.37, 6.39" ooooooorrrr!!!!!!!!!! go here!!!

No responsibility taken for broken PSPs (not that it would break)
I just posted the links, no courtesty at all.
Also all of the above (or most of it) won't work on a PSPGo, as this model can't have permanent custom firmware. The downgrading thing might work, but I won't recommend it, as there is NO recovery from a brick. On a PSPGo you are stuck to non-permanent firmware, as you are already on 6.37 I would recommend using the newest PRO-B for 6.39:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/2011/05/29/psp-custom-firmware-6-206-356-39-pro-b6-released/
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
I just went ahead and installed Pro-B as recommended by Eisherz. I haven't had the chance to run any games yet but just wanted to say that it was successful.
