I have just bought a second hand PSP slim for the purposes of modding and have managed to get it unlocked with chickhen and then the CFW installer as directed on one of the very helpful tutorials here.
I started playing games and realised that the Shoulder isn't working. I used a homebrew key tester to see if it was responding and no joy there. In my eagerness to mod the PSP I neglected to check that all the buttons worked properly before the CFW, so I don't know if it's a stuck button or a software thing.
And so I am unsure of where to go from here. I found a couple of threads talking about how peoples buttons have seemed to stop working after installing CFW, but nothing talking about a solution except disabling the menu which comes up when you press select in XMB, which had no effect.
So before I open the PSP up (I know it would be better to take it back but I enjoy tinkering, and I might not be so lucky to find a moddable replacement) I wanted to see if there are any suggestions.
I can only think of two things.
1 Seeing if a Pandora exploit would work better but I'd rather not buy one without knowing it's going to help, and I have a feeling it won't.
2 Reinstalling OFW. I wanted to check that I won't make it difficult to re-mod (Below 5.03 should be fine right?) and that it is done the usual way (Put the update in the correct folder and run it from the Game section of XMB.
