I've recently found my Phat psp, so I charged it and tried to turn it on, however for some reason it goes to a black screen with the green light on.. and after about 20-30 secs it switches off. I don't hear any sounds from the device and it was working a few months back
anyway to fix this problem?
edit: Managed to get it on, however i have issues on it, most the time.. when i navigate through the menu, it wont open any of the folders e.g. system,game

I had a similar problem, i sent to Undercutter.co.uk
They repair PSP and it turned out my motherboard had a fault. Needed replacing.
It's fine now.
Leave this until the last resort as it's costly to replace the motherboard.
meh... still have the same issue =(, its turning on fine now, no black screen issue.. menu's get stuck sometimes, and during gameplay some text from games is missing or the saving games fails every now and then... >.> i'm guessing the memory card reader isn't working as well
