PSP 3003 6.37. Upgrade/downgrade?

Hi All,
I bought a Brite a couple of days ago and I just cant seem to be able to play Iso on it. A few years back Ive had a Phat and managed to put Hen on it, all was fine. I am not a complete noob but I just cant find a guide or a link anywhere.
Lol, it came with Fifa & Football Manager and the discs ended up as presents ;) There is nothing I can play or watch on it. The faintest help would be very appreciated.
PSP 3003 6.37 and I dont know what mobo.

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Verify if you can downgrade to 6.20 so that you can use permanent patch. How low can you go? Depends on which fw your psp was shipped with (cannot go lower or you will brick it):
01g - Any
02g - 4.71-above
03g - 5.00-above
04g - 6.10-above
05g - 6.10-above
07g - 6.31-above
09g - 6.31-above
In other words 1g-5g CAN be downgraded to 6.20 and permanent patched.
Above 6.20 you will have to run the Pro update every time you psp is shutdown

Yea, and if it doesn't work you have no chance at all of fixing it. I wouldn't try a downgrade on an "unhackable" board.

Yeah just like if battery goes bad while installing cfw, so there is risk in everything... I have three happy nephews with hacked "unhackable" downgraded boards (three 3001 and one 3000). Rule of thumb: Don't wanna brick, don't mod at all, it's common knowledge, everybody knows the risks in modding. As far as my personal experience goes I have not bricked any by following instructions to the "tee" and reading in many forums.
My point: 300X are 100% hackable up to ofw 6.20 (thanks to geohot finding the keys to the house thus allowing to create custom signed cfw "bye bye pandora") Pandora was a far more riskier "junkyard fix" than just running signed cfw straight out of the card IMHO.

The pandora battery was the original Sony fixing method.
Also with 6.20 PRO you can't go online, with 6.60 LCFW you can. Just keep the PSP in standby mode and it won't revert back to original.
Actually, with the downgrade you take an unneccessary risk, some of the risks are neccessary, like for example putting CFW on my 2k, I managed to brick it once (card going bad), even with following the instructions "to the tee", but thanks to that "junkyard fix", as you like to call it, I could recover my PSP 2k. With a 3k and a brick your PSP is a paperweight.
Everybody's own decision if they want to take the risk, I personally wouldn't.

It's up to the user, you're right. If it reverts back to original just run the hack again... I'll call it a tethered hack LOL. Well good pro's and con's thread... LOL
