I have a psp 2001and I want the easiest guide to help me put custom firmware into it. Prefer dark Alex firmware but whichever works will be fine. I have a padora battery just need an easy guide.

Is there a step by step guide I can use because I am very new to putting custom firmware.

Before doing 6.2 TN-C or 6.35 Pro-B I'd rather use 6.37 ME, atleast that is permanent.
Also I wouldn't try putting GEN on before knowing if the PSP can be modded permanently.

I went to the site but then when I tried to download the files needed it said that the This Account Has Been Suspended so I am unable to get the files I need. Is there another guide or one that is up to date.

He's on a PSP 2001, which means he is using an US PSP. The 01 is a nation code, not a version code.
He already has a Pandora battery, so I'd rather make a Magic Memory stick and try downgrading with this (www.google.com for the Magic Memory Stick Maker and www.youtube.com for a tutorial on how to downgrade). Way less risky of producing a brick, also if it doesn't work you know your PSP isn't modable permanently.
