Ok so several people have posted problems and issues they are having with mods or modded consoles here is a more up to date information sections for all

Jailbreaking a psp

. Jailbreaking allows custom themes and games running on the psp device

. Jailbreaking can now be performed on the psp go through a downgrade then install method (however this method means no store and no transfering from ps3 to psp because you need the latest firmware update in order to do so)

Error codes psp brick and other issues.

. with the psp go jailbreak certain titles will not function on multiplayer because of a differrence on the psp go's network adapter and the original psp models you will receive a need security code in order to access code but it wont allow any input.

. make sure you have the correct firmware if your device came with firmware 6.20 you can down grade back to 6.20 however if it came with a older version of firmware originally you take a huge chance of bricking your device.

. disk read errors apon updating your psp to a custom firmware or a firmware exploit the umd drive stops working this is actually common and happens because the user decided to use the wrong update and it has written to the firmware of the psp's umd drive and locked the drive because of a firmware mismatch error reinstall with correct firmware should resolve the issues.

. remember titles made by ea games are heavily watched on torrent sites by ea and if you use these titles make sure you wireless is disabled on the psp these new titles from ea dial home.

and remember have fun

That is old and wrong information. You don't have to downgrade and online works perfectly (as long as it'll last with the PSP being discontinued and all).

Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Actually you have to.

to engage the hack on the psp go because the perm hack which engages the jailbreak all the time can only be installed perm without recover application installed which means no latest firmware because this writes to the psp firmware

Indeed, that realy is a noob's guide to PSP flashing, because he messed it up. The PRO-B permanent patch is for later PSP 2k, PSP 3k and Go, that can't be hacked permanently (there is a difference in full custom firmware and LCFW). PSP 1000 and early PSP 2000 can be fully permanently hacked with a full permanent custom firmware, on later 2000, 3000 and Go you can only patch something in flash0 so that it automatically loads the PRO firmware and you don't have to start it again after switching it off. Of course earlier PSPs can also be patched. Also I wouldn't take an one year old source too seriously, there may have been some mayor changes.
