hey i have a cracked psp version 3.71.iwant to upgrade it to play newer games but am afraid what will happen.will i have to get a new crach or will my psp stop working please help.

Hey, if you going to post, then use some english, from what I can take from your questions you want to play newer games on an older Firmware, Visit HERE for a better tutorial to upgrade, there is nearly 0 risk in upgrading to the newer firmwares, however if you use homebrew, then it may not work...
