I want to MOD a PSP don't want to screw it up so this is my information so far. its a 1000 and the FW is 6.20. So I'm guessing I'm going to need to downgrade it. Please let me know the best method to modding this. Thanks.

I don't know how up to date it is. The pandora battery has been mentioned in another thread as the only possible way to mod the psp. I want to make sure I'm going in the right direction.

Outdated. Just get one of the signed 6.20 non-permanent custom firmwares (6.20 PRO-B5 for example) and from there update to the latest 6.39 ME.
