Can the PSP Go still not be hacked? I'm thinking of buying a psp and want to know what is the best one for hacking? Can all psp 3000 models be hacked or is it just the 1000 and 3000 that can run homebrew code? Thanks.

PSP 1000 and 2000 can be also be hacked. 1000 is the best one to hack

with the quality of the 2000 so much better than the PHAT i do not understand why the phat would be better. it is no easier to hack the phat than the 2000 same thing. so for me slim is better.

It depends. All PSP phat can be hacked, when buying an unmodded PSP slim off ebay it's always a little game of chance to get a permanently hackable or hackable at all one. So for someone totally new to the PSP a PSP phat is definitely the better choice.

PSVita: hardly ever play it

sure i agree for a sure thing a phat is the only choice, but if you know you have a hackable 2000 which almost all 2000 models are hackable, 2001 is where it gets hairy i think, you get a better built machine.

2000 and 2001 is just the country code, 2000 is Japan, 2001 is US. These numbers say nothing about modability (btw: 2002 = Australia, 2003 = UK, 2004 = continental Europe, 2005 = Korea, 2006 = Hong Kong and Singapore, 2007 = Taiwan, 2008 = Russia, 2009 = China).

thats a cool bit of information i never researched, i have a 2000 and a 2001 on my desk, i did not know that the 2000 was a foreign machine. thanks for the insight.

1000 are all able to be hacked fully no questions

colored 2000 if it is blue red or white (not purple) it can be hacked no questions again

black or silver 2000 most can be hacked but you get the ones with the new boards that can't be hacked permenantly.

Purple 2000 can not be hacked permenantly is just like the 3000

3000 can not be hacked permenantly (only in black purple and silver if not mistaken)

PSPGO - Don't ask this guy lol like my vader 2000 in mint condition and 64 gb memstick
