Hello...
Well success has been short lived. Now l am having trouble with Disney Movies. Basically l can use InfoEdit as it will not process the Copied files. After doing evrything and then going to strip it comes back with An error opening VIDEO_TS.INFO Seems it doesn't exist. Can anyone help me overcome this problem. Smartripper will not work for me as some files are locked.

Thanks!

There must be someone out there that has backed-up Disney movies successfully. So please give me your method as l am going around in circles. I can backup to my HD using Decrypter but when processing using INFOedit that is when the trouble begins.. So please people give me a hand...

Thanks Once Again...

Hi about your Systemproblemtalk there....
I have an Athlon 1.333@1,45Ghz 512 Mb Ram with a Via KT133A chipset and Win XP, and i have never had any Problems at all with Ifoedit. I tested it on 2 different Atlon Systems running Win XP and i have never had any little problem.

FalconGT you know that IfoEdit does NOT do the whole work for you ? You have to copy the Video_TS files ( the bup, ifo and vob file ) into the 2 dvd folders and burn them with the other files on your cd! don t forget to burn also the vts_01_0.vob, if exists, also on your 2 DVDs. Thats all...

Are yes FalconGT try the Method with DVDdecrypter, it's better then Smartripper... I think people shouldn t try to use other methods, cause the combination of Dvddecrypter,IfoEdit and burning with Nero is not difficult AND if you do it fine, it will surely work!

Dunno if you know this guide of doom9.com http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-2dvdrs.htm it s very good i think...

FALCON:

The problems not just with Disney, its with most if not all movies. Its simple though.

Immediately after you Decrypt the movie, go into Windows Explorer and into your DVD Drive where the movie is (i.e. F:) and then into the VIDEO_TS folder of the movie and manually copy the VIDEO_TS.IFO file into the directory that you just decrypted.

Basically, Decrypter doesn't copy the VIDEO_TS.IFO file into the directory so you are just doing that manually.

Once thats done, use IfoEdit as normal and your laughing :)

Thanks !. So simple but then again l have burnt 5 Dvd sucessfully and this Disney one is the only one l have had to copy any file from the original. Well now it should make things a little easier. Another ? I download movies from the Internet and then convert them to VCD so l can judge if they are worth buying on DVD. What intrests me if l can put a few on a DVD+R with a menu so l can choose which to watch, naturally l want to burn them to a DVD+RW. So if anyone can help it would be appreciated very muchly...!

You are effectively creating a VCD on DVD which shouldn't be a problem - you would need to use something like SpruceUp to create the DVD image and the menus etc.

(Note: I haven't done this so I am really assuming)

Yeah l know it will be only VCD, but am only using it as a way to view movies to make sure what l purchase is worth keeping. I feel it will be a lot more cost effective than just burning onto normal CD's and then using them as coasters, though they are cheap but still a waste. Does this mean l have to buy SpruceUp?..

It means that you will have to get SpruceUp - or an alternative - I am not sure if you can still buy SpruceUp anylonger.

Hey, Just worked out if l use DVD Decryptper in file mode, copy all the files then l do not have to copy the VIDEO_TS.IFO file from the original cd. I simply open it in INFOedit and stip what l do not want. Then simply get the VTS files and burn using NERO and so far it works perfectly.

Well....firstly l was asked to give my email, Secondly wasn't aware of it, since all l want is to replace some covers that have been damaged due to loaning out to friends. In all honesty l pay a damn lot of movies and do not condone priacy in any form. If l have offended you then l am sorry and about reading the rules, l guess l should have and maybe l wouldn't have been so STUPID!!!!!!!!!

Email addresses, no matter what the reason is, are prohibited. For a number of reasons. Email address gathering robots go through discussion forums and use the addresses found for spamming. There's no way we can verify if the address posted belongs to the person posting it.

I'm sure you have the movies you're looking covers for, Falcon, but that's not the issue here. DVD/CD covers are copyrighted. You can find lowish resolution versions of most R1 titles at DVD stores, such as DVD Empire.

Hey, I have this disc with a pan & scan and widescreen version on the one disc and l only want the widescreen version. I do not want to split it into 2 dvd as it is under the required amount. So if anyone has an idea it would be appreciated...
