Okay, I finally got it to work, and without a UMD no less. I ENABLED Use No UMD, then set my CPU Speed at 266. Then I started up my game with no UMD in my PSP and it started right up.

Hello! I am still new here to the forums, well, very new, and I hope this does not make me look like a spamming noob. Well, I think this is the right thread... I think... And I have a question. How do I rip my psx games from a cd into iso format? Im not into illegal downloading, but I dont have a ps3 either. SO how can I load something like crash bandicoot into a .bin and a .cue file?
ANy help would be gladly appreciated. Thank you.
Cool forum you guys got here, btw.

yes, I am running 3.03 oe-c. I already have homebrew on my psp, Im just trying to stay somewhat in the legal scene.
PS: as soon as I get it into .bin and .cue form, Im going to be turning into a eboot.pbp and keys.bin with popstation.

Which game is it? You might need to have a game in your umd slot so your game can load up but make sure that you have "Use NO-UMD disabled" under recovery mode. Have you thought about upgrading to 3.40 oe-a since it is the latest firmware? Maybe that would help load up the game without having an actual game to load from.
The game is Initial D street Stage. Yup, There is a UMD disc inside and I allready Upgraded my firmware into 3.40 OE-A....Still nothing happens...
It just might be a bad iso/cso file. I'm not sure which one you have. Do you have other games and are they working?[/quote]Other downloaded CSO's are working fine...Except for the initial d game. I already downloaded 3 Initial d games from different torrent sites. still all the same.

I'm not sure what could be the problem but I had to get the game and try it out myself. After finally getting the game I was able to play it but I needed to have a game in order for it to load. There was nothing wrong with the game, I just couldn't understand what it was saying since its language is in Japanese. I'm sorry but I really don't know what to tell you.

nevermind, I figured it out. However it was a little complicated, so a tutorial might help those who are new. I used MagicISO. <--very easy/great proggie

Bump, because still no sticky.
If I change the extensions from .7z to z64, should they still work? I tried it, and still no luck. Do I have to unzip the file or something? I'm referring to Daedalus R12 and I'm using 3.03-C.

Sorry for the delay. Actually someone told me of another website that has them, and after I downloaded the file, I discovered that you have to unzip the file you download in order for the rom to work. Now, I used roms from 3roms.com, and man does that emulator lag! I tell you, no matter what I do, the graphics don't even come close to the N64 feel. Now does rom hustler give me roms that run faster, or do I have to use a specific setting for my roms? BTW, I use 3.03 oe-c @ 333 MHz.
