Yes, it will go back to 2.71 if you turn it off.... Anyway, do any of the 2.71 folders work? Cause my psp wont emulate 2.71 or 2.71(flash) but will emulate 1.50. I think that theres something wrong with the 2.71 files.. And if i use the Devhook ultimate installer 1.1.1, it has alot of 2.71 files but when i emulate it, i get a blue downgrade screen.

u gotta download the 2.71 fw DUMP
im still trying to find the link but i can't.. if u can find it please post it cuz its gonna help so much other ppl not ask this question
oh and shiti, i hav asked the same question before and yes... it is a very good question but NO, u cannot emulate 1.5 then upgrade...that will cuz a brick

Yes! I found the 2.71 fw dump..but its Chaos Zeros tho. Im not sure if you want it but this fw dump works tho!

i followed the guide and everything worked fine for me to make this easy and not to confuse you guys whoever had problems playing Valkryie Profile just download my backup i just compressed them to a RAR file just unpack all the files and tranfer them all to you psp memory stick duo be4 copying them make a backup of your memory stick to your desktop first and then format your memory stick after copying all the files then 1) go to photo and run henc after successfuly rebooted then go to 2) game's memory stick then run DEVHOOK Launcher/VSHEX all the configurations is the same as the guide 3) loading iso/cso games after you have started and a different look will appear that means you got it now insert anyUMD game my 1st try got "Dummy UMD" if you try to play with it, it will have an error saying that your current version is 2.71 and you need to upgrade it to version 9.99 then do this go to game's memory stick select DeviceHook configure then select play from UMD and then you could play the UMD you have inserted not the iso/cso now go back and do the same and select play iso/cso and now you are able to play your iso/cso game good luck to everyone

I'm a noob on his i just got my PSP 3 days ago i was looking for an answer to the same problem 2 days ago and i was able to figure out it to work i'm just explaining what i did to make it work, i'm not doing any guide if anything is wrong please correct me.

hi guys
this is a great thread
i have a TA-082 psp
i wanted to ask you that when i am able to reach the devhook module on my psp then when i set it at firmware 1.5 then the psp system is temporarily in the 1.5 fw mode .
then can i upgrade my psp with [Dark AleX's 2.71 Custom Firmware SE-B"] .
i think it may be possible as this custom firmware can only be put on 1.5 firmware systems AND HAS A SERIOUS WARNING OF BRICKKING
EXTREMELY POSSIBLE ON TA-082 systems and as ta082 psp cannot be downgraded yet hence it cannot be used
but after emulating 1.5 i think it will work
it is a great idea and if it works it will totally solve the problems of a ta084 motherboard as this custom firmware is the best there can be yet and has a wide range of different applications such as NO NEED OF ANY UMD TO PLAY ISO GAMES and extremely good compatibility
let me tell you all that it is originally my idea and i have not found this thought on any other forums

jesus christ guys don't post any of your guides here.
try to make a thread and put it there so that nobody gets confused.
and everything in pspjuniors thread works it's just that u have to take time and read.
watch the videos,check if u are doing it right,i have done a lot of these for my other friends so it shouldn't have any trouble for u guys.plus it doesn't really matters if u have a TA-082 or not.
it works for both.
oh and pspjunior i have PM you back read when you have time

I'm not sure. It was the devhook already installed on my psp when i got it. I didn't know how to work it so i did pspjuniors guide but it just froze my psp all the time. I was smart enuf to save the contents back to the state i got it in and then it worked. I had someone teaching me.I just tried to compress everything to make it easier. i didnt mean to confuse anyone...
