oh no.. help me.. my psp wont work.. 8s screen is just staying as it is even though there is no battery and it wont shut-off.. help me.. what should i do? i was just about to follow step 35.. and i think 8 is because my firmware is of the Japanese version and the thing that i downloaded(dumper) is for the us version.. oh god.. is it already bricked? oh my oh my help anyone please.. I'm so confused and i don't know what to do... help me guys.. pls yahoo message me gerikoh007

boy i was so scared.. the problem was just that the ac adapter was still connected now that's why it can't turn off.. but anyway i'm almost done except that the last step on the 1st part wont seem to match my current status. well i still don't know why my system settings tell me that my version is still 2.71. anyone could help me here? thanks.
oh and a question? does the files on the hyperlink compatiblewith a 2.71 japanese firmware? well i bought mine from japan so i just chose to upgrade from 2.6 to japan 2.71.. thanks a lot again =)

YESSS!!!!! alrighty, i just had mine converted to 1.5 yahoooo!!! i just have to download an iso... i hope it is compatible with ace combat x.. i just confirmed that even though you are using a jap firmware 2.71, the files on the hyperlink still works.. wooohooo.. thank you so much pspjunior.. you're the best.. if you were just a lady, i would have ask you to marry me.. hehehe XD thanks and more power again =)

hehehe. geee thanks. but i still have one problem, though i can deal with it. on an occasion, when i already successfully got it to 1.5, my psp ran out of battery then it rebooted and it came back to 2.71. i was having a hard time of getting it back to 1.5. i tried to do the dumper located in the photos directory(henc), then it turned only to blue then rebooted then i tried the devlauncher for 2.71. it rebooted but it was still 2.71 though it said "game cannot be started." so i tried to redo the steps upon pasting what has to be pasted. (devlauncher, henc and the firmware dump). but this time it worked. my question is, do i still need to go back to those steps just to have a 1.5 working again? well, i'm kinda lazy to do that, but 8s my only choice, well as of now. =(

Why do you want to run 1.5 ? Homebrew? You don't have to emulate 1.5 to play iso files just use devhook

oh is that so? oh so this devhook simply works like an iso medium for 2.71? well i'm still downloading my iso game so i still couldn't try it yet.. =(

Just go into devhook set as 2.71 and select iso you want to run

actually he's right.if u want to play iso game just run 2.71.
but most homebrews works perfect in 1.50.
my 1.50,2.71 and 2.71(nandflash) all works perfect but i am using chunglams devhook launcher.
i have change my psp 1.50 background and gameboot,yes u can change the background for the 1.50.2.71 i have change the gameboot too.
in chunglams mod,this works
disabling HENC,so that games like killzone and snoopy works
can change gameboots from time to time
can play iso easily through usb
alrite done for today

Hi everyone...
I got a big problem here, my psp 2.71/TA-082 can't use HenC.
Had follow the steps to activate HenC, i stuck at step 35. It goes blue sceen (only) then shutdown... for everytime i tried. Some told me the psp flash0 had spoilded, is it true? anyone can help?
Btw, some friend also told me to downgrade to 2.5 then upgrade back to 2.71 so the psp is "flesh" as new. But worry my new psp become brick.

so whats going on with Killzone liberation??? does the same trick that works for GTA vice city stories iso (change the UFO VERSION : 2.xx to 2.00 ) work the same for killzone liberation iso??? a friend of mine bought the orginal umd disk of killsone liberation and the trick isnt working. im thinking it only works for iso's, am i wrong??

alexleong, u can downgrade to 2.5 no problem with a ta-082 fw 2.71 but i advise u dont because i think u just simply placed the files in the wrong place. format your memory stick and simply try again

i cant update to fw 2.71 =( i tried to paste it in the update folder but it keeps on saying cannot find the specified file make sure you specified the correct path and file name?? what do i do pls tell me!!

really sorry lol. first make a folder named GAME in the PSP folder. then in GAME make another folder named UPDATE and put the update in there. good luck and i will be putting this on the guide sorry i missed that

hey man u need to change ur attitude a bit we know your problem and most of the ppl here don't know how to help with SNES emulator and this is only a guide on how to run ISO/CSO not SNES or GBA read title be4 asking for help if none can help you then got to find it urself and don't blame anyone none is committed to help you maybe changing ur tone will get u better, calm down lol
