I don't want to question your (almost certain!) superior knowlege, but that thread says it's for Starview.....will this work with the Dbox 2?

It doesnt matter what box m8, its the provider key that gets put into the box thats important, I use those starview keys with my sagem dbox2, as far as i understand it all the boxes need the same provider key (hope im right on this, lol)

Checklist: Did you disable the autoupdate first. Then enter the new keys. Then restart the EVOCAMD?

so which is it, N*L or V****n? there's a different set of keys for each

Hi Guys
All you are great. Your advice and helped me and it worked. I used 10 step formula and if you follow it properly then it really give positive result. But only problem is that you have to keep changing the codes when it rolled out using BigMac.bartool. Someone should resolve that problem that it automatically do once you put it on default. ANYWAY, THANKS AGAIN ALL GUYS FOR YOUR HELP.

I with NTL/Virgin and it's been off for the past few days, thanks to this forum I've now fixed it, in appreciation I'll tell you all how. Here is what I did and I'm a total newbie: This took me 30 minutes with no prior knowledge of a dbox2.
(Note: I think my image is Sporster 1.73, not sure if this matters and I really don't know what an image is or how to change it, or even if I need to change it)
Note: Everything is done by the remote control on screen. I've pieced this together using bits of what other people have posted, it's not all my own but hopefully this may be easier to follow.
STEP 1: First press the blue button on the remote, choose Sportster (or blue button again), go to EMU settings (or blue button again) and choose EVOCAMD. Press green or go to EMU/Autoupdate. In grey it will tell you wether updates are activated or deactivated. Press yellow to deactivate if its not already deactivated. Press home x 3 back to the EMU selection screen, press red on the EVOCAMD to restart this.
STEP 2: You need to download software to your computer only. Do this by clicking the link and downloading/installing it to your computer: http://bigmaq.ourtoolbar.com/
This just adds a toolbar to your internet explorer. On the toolbar go to Latest Keys and choose your area, choose the latest date if more than 1 option and it will give you two codes which look like: KEY 0 (followed by digits) and KEY 1 (followed by digits). Make a note of these for the next step. This will hopefully tell you the code whichever area you live in.
STEP 3:
1 - press the blue button on your DBOX - and go to option 2 Tuxbox commander.
2- then scroll down to the option that says "var" and press ok
3- scroll down to "keys" and press ok
4- scroll down to "keylist.txt and press 4 (to edit)
5- If your like me and are in the Pure NTL area your codes will start like N 5401 01 etc etc, press ok on the 1st key which starts with N 5401 00
6 - Now use the codes you got from Biqmaq in step 2: Type in this number after 00 and the 01. i.e. overwrite the number after the 00 or 01 using your remote control. (it takes a while to get the knack of it).
7 - Press ok to exit then press home. It will ask you if you want to save, choose yes. Press home again and again save if asked until you are back to the normal screen.
Note: The screen will still be black at this point.
STEP 4:
Now press the blue button, go to Sportster (or blue button again), choose EMU SELECTION and press red or ok to restart the EVOCAMD, a confirmation message will be shown. Now your picture should appear. If not try to restart and then it should appear.

anybody know how i can turn of the audio description on certain channels ie bbc 3 or sk movies comedy. thanks.ive rescanned as well but doesnt seem to work. pressing the green audio button ust reverts it back to radio.

My list was also blank because I was told on Thursday night to delete them all but on Friday this one was there
N 5A04 00 6F 9B A2 32 50 77 36 57 ROM10 AU Key Time Fri April 11 23:18:49 2008 and this was the one VM put in
I had to change it to this
N 5A04 00 6F 9B A2 32 50 67 36 57 ROM10 AU Key Time Thur April 10 16:23:05 2008 and this worked great
but they now look like this N 5A04 00 6F 9B A2 32 50 67 36 57 ROM10 AU Key Time Thur April 10 16:23:05 2008
N 5A04 01 6A 90 5C 97 67 CD A8 91 ROM7 AU Key Time Thur April 10 16:23:33 2008

but this is the only one I needed to get my up and running I am in Edinburgh

I live in Newcastle upon tyne and have Telewest cable
I have downloaded the Bigmaq toolbar and got the latest keys
I deactivated my autoupdate
Now I am trying to change the keys,...
I can get as far as 'keys'
Then I have no 'softcam option'
I have 'keylist.txt' and 'camd_cfg'
if I select the 'keylist.txt' option I can see the keys
but the '4' button on the remote does nothing
I can see all of the keys on the screen and can scroll through them but cant select one to edit it!!
I have the same problem on another indentical dbox although I can edit keys, but only into lowercase letters...how do I switch to Numbers and back again?
really want to watch the footy today and the motogp..please help me!! arrg!

when you select (highlighted)the keys.txt file then press the button 4 not while you are in keys.txt as this will not do anything

After you have pressed 4 scroll to the one you want to change the press ok to edit remember to save changes,Good luck

hi guys new to all this !used all your wizardry and got my dbox up and running! yous are all geniusies! only problem is that some of my channels have gone and when scanning only get 222 transponders where as before it was 300 odds! any way to get them all back? thanx

Hi stee41: I press the number I want ie: 3 and it goes def3 ect I dont have to change back + forward and if I want uppercase I press the yellow button,hope this helps

only thing I can think of do you have the fast scan on or off( you should have it off)Good luck
