I can't understand how the rotation of these aerials could cause attenuation. Fair enough if it was the usual Yagi aerial with elements protruding in opposite directions from a stem. But these ones have circular washers. Surely that means that they operate the same what ever way they are orientated, once they are pointing at the transmitter.
Just to clarify, I don't really know what i'm talking about, as i haven't studied Physics since my Leaving Cert!

Hi,
The beginning of this thread stated:
Quote: Hi All,
Would really appreciate your help. I have NT* MMDS in
the house(most basic package) - North Dublin.
It would be great to have all the movies and sports!!
Could anyone please tell me..
1)The name of the box I need
2)Where I can get the box
3)What to do with the box
I'm totally new to this and appreciate any help
Thanks a mill
I'm in a similar boat. I have a DBox in North Dublin so all I need now is an answer to question 3) - what to do with the Box.
Can anyone tell me how I set it up? I'm scanning but not picking up any channels. I'm running Sportster 1.7, which works perfectly in Dublin 8.
I'd really appreciate any advice... I've been asking for help with this on different threads for a few weeks and I've even sent a PM or two but no one seems to be able to help.
Thanks,
Chuck

I bought a freecom dvb-t usb stick recently and loaded the bda drivers which I download from the freecom website. I bought an adapter to convert from the ch*r*s connection plug to a standard aerial connection that fits into the USb adapter...
When i plug the chorus connection into the usb adapter should I expect to see a constantly flashing light on the adapter ? I am getting nothing..
After installing totalmedia and progdvb they both indicate that there is no signal. Do I need to set any settings in progdvb in order for my laptop to pick up the signal??.
Any help would be apprecaited
Thanks.

Hi. I installed the Gemini image (version 4.1) on my Dreambox 600PVR and am getting all the channels etc. However the EPG is only showing up now and next?. Is there any way of downloading the full EPG through Gemini? I could see the full schedule when I initially used Progdvb with a freecom dvb-t usb stick?
Thanks.

Hi 95vitara
look here www.satandcable.com you will need either the all-in-one aerial or the AM-G18 + downconverter + power supply

Don't get any picture anymore on Freecom stick and ProgDVB. Haven't passed any heed for a couple of months. Now, updated the kees, getting a signal, but no quality. Did they change any of the settings? I'm in Slig*.
There is EPG info aswell.

Hi all,
Trying to get up to speed on mmds antennas.
I've got a eurovox tx working on a C***S installed antenna thanks to this site.
Now I'm gonna try on a self installed antenna.
Can anyone answer me a few questions:
Could a standard 2.4Ghz wifi antenna do if the signal is strong enough ?
Could a standard 2.5Ghz antenna do if the signal is strong enough ?
I guess Yagi/Parabola mesh are best for weak signals ?
Does the eurovox tx supply the downconverter voltage ?
I seem to remember seeing this option in the menu.
Can anyone recommend an antenna inc downconverter for use with MMDS?
TIA,
HJD

Hi All.. I really need your help and hopefully other people are having the same issue. I started using my dreambox with ch*r*s mmds about a month ago... Got the codes and everything worked perfectly... Last Thursday Channels started dissappearing on me. I assumed it was because the codes had changed. I went online and found codes with a last roll of 13th of June so I thought these would do. The 00 code was the same but the 01 had changed. I added these to my Softcam.Key file but no luck. I also tried adding them to vplugin within progdvb with my freecom usb stick and still no luck... Have Chorus changed the way they scramble channels or have i the wrong codes??
Any help would be appreciated.
