Simply enable auto update at your image.
You need the patched nagrarom files.

Thanks for your advice mbg17. Where can I find the patched nagra rom files and instructions on how to install for ch**us? does this work with MagicCAMD or do I need to install a different cam?
I'm generally a patient man but configuring the dreambox has driven me up the walls. Appreciate any help.

Folks,Can you help me, I based in Galway,I have ajusted MMDS aerial to line of sight with transmitter but at end of scan i'm still getting '' No transponder to scan '' and the % bar for quality is reading between 8-30% when scan is finished. When the scan is running the level bar for the most of the time is at approx 15-20% and the quality bar jumps for 10% to 90% and back to 10% as it scans, should both bars be in the green when scanning ie 80-90% ??? Also I'm worried that the 18 Vdc power supply may not be working correctly ?? How do I check it ?? I tried measuring it with a volt meter by inseting one probe into the head and the other probe to the threaded area but got back reading something like 0.15 vdc.
Any help would be great !!!

mbg17,
I bought a eurovox maxv and mmds aerial with downconverter plus power supply from cable&sat. Will the maxv pick up the MMDS ?? It works for friends of mine that have N't aerials thats why I want some info on setting the sat&cable aerial like making sure the power supply is working correcly.Do I just do a scan as normal or do I need to pull up the N'l codes by going into lan/press 1968/emm/1968/find ntl 5400/5401/exit/scan.
Any help would be great

The downconverter from cable/sat has a different frequency. The standard scan is not working.
Try a scan at 690 mhz.

cactikid,
I'm nearly 100% sure that my box is dvb/c and this works for cable but I also know that it works for n*l mmds aerials,so I guess it's the sat&cable aerial thats differant to N'T,do you know anyone that has setup the sat%cable aerial to pick up N'l mmds????.Sat&cable seem to selling alot of these units into ireland so I guess that they must work.I think i may be able to get my hands on eurovox tx, if so I will let you know now I get on,
Again if anyone has any info on the setup of these sat&cable aerials please pass it on
thanks,
johno

Hi all,
In the west cork area and I'm trying to get my box-t working with my mmds aerial. The aeriel is an older chorus aerial which should have the downconverter connected already from reading the forums. I have just connected a power inserter to the box and I did an auto scan and picked up 86 channels but cannot get a picture to come through. The emu is on, I also tried set default and did a factory reset and rescanned to no avail. The power inserter has an output of DC 24V 350mA 18V 300mA, just wondering is this the correct voltage or is there something else I must do? If anyone can help please!

ya I did get updating but it only went as high as 40% and I also powered off and back on and found that it was staying at 0% or going up to about 40% but just taking longer than it should. I know from the cable boxes that it only takes about 20-30 seconds to update. I also know the box works because I've tried it on mmds near cork city with no prob but that person had basic ch**s subscription so I was thinking may be it was the power inserter that I purchased myself?

Hi. I?ve been following this thread a while now and there are one or two things which have left me a bit confused - I?m easily confused :)
I?ve fitted a DVB-T box to an existing MMDS set-up in Cork and it all works fine. But the equipment (antenna, power supply, down converter) was all standard chorus devices. Now I wish to do a fresh install in my brothers house. I have a ?Dreambox 600T? and a ?The Box T? to assist me testing my set-up.
Ok, so I have read that other users have went ahead and bought antennas, power supplies and down converters only to run into difficulty during set-up. For example wrong frequencies, wrong power, weak signals etc? Has anyone purchased a set of these which work on the chorus MMDS system without major difficulties? I?ve been looking at the AM-G18 and AM-G27, but am unsure which is better suited. I guess I would need to match these with a down converter (like this one for example) and a power supply (like this one). Would a set-up like this work or would I be better off going with a MMDS antenna, d/c & p/s bundle.
Really really appreciate any advice anyone can give me. I?m slow to part with my cash just in case I end up with unsuitable gear. Thanks

jammie,
I have just setup the sat&cable aerial G21/downconverter/powersupply with eurovox maxv to pick up N*L and it's working fine.A mate has tried the tx box on a ch**us mmds aerial and it worked fine,he's in the process of setting up sat&cable aerial with the tx box,If your within 10-15 miles from transmitter they say that the integrated aerial works but I went for the sat&cable aerial G18/downconverter/powersupply,Just one thing be very careful when connecting up powersupply, make sure the braided part of coaxial cable does not touch the main coaxial cable on any connection,if so you will blow the power supply. You don't want to do this !!!!!!

The maplins thingy is too weak. You should use an power inserter with minimum 200ma.
