if your using a null cable the ip address does not matter as it will automatically find the best address it self

NO this is a different kettle of fish, best use IFA if you can't sort ip address out

did you manually put the codes & still doesnt work?
No i followed these instructions:
get flash fxp > ftp
2 get the file > http://www.4shared.com/file/43880742/b756ed13/nagrarom7.html
and unzip it
3 plug an ethernet cable in to your computer and box.
4 go to dbox then network on your box remote.
5 go to flash fxp on your computer and pick file then quick connect.
6 type your ip address from the box and put user name as root and password as dbox2 and connect.
if it doesnt connect change your box ip and dns and default gateway the same: 192.168.000.003 and then pick start\restart network on the box.
7 once connected go to var\keys and put the file in and overwrite.
8 wait a few seconds and your box will come back on.

Hello
Does anyone have a tutorial guide as to how to upload an image using the null modem method.
Unfort i have a box that is stuck in kein system and as i do not know the ip address of the system my ftp client is not connecting anymore.
Also the image i uploaded was a 1x for a Sagem dbox , from what i have read these tend to me 1x boxes , does anyone know if they also have 2x as well ?

I have looked at the attached and followed it to a tee, my dbox now has the new nagrarom 7 file but still have no channels, i really need this fixed asap as celtic v rangers game is on 2nite, please please help me anyone

can you please help me, i have a dbox, with sportster just installed, getting 'error channel not available' on every channel. On V****N and using nul modem, and ethernet cable, flashed 2X_Sportster_1.10_RC006_UK_10April07 using dboxifa311. Area is west lothian, I am not sure what codes to change, i have the folling keys:
N 5A01 01 F79CB25684FBD158
N 5A01 00 D63A98346FF4D1F5
N 5401 00 0AC58B776894E2E1
N 5401 01 5054C0720754F9C0
Also, any help on using ftp would be much appreciated, never used it before
At the moment, i am getting no channels through, can you please pm me if possible?

Will this Commando image work for DBOX2? and also will it work for DERBY? as i live in derby, and also you have some other xml files services and all that, what am i suppose to do with them?

I am a total novice at this where do i find the image and which folder do i transfer it too in the dbox

Hi Rachel you will get the codes in this link plus you ever connected the box before to the pc to fix the new auto roll

Oggnogg , i downloaded the new Cryo sportster image, flashed it to box ,done channel scan. When the scan was finished i got a prompt service.xml and bouquets.xml files are missing.These files are in your shared folder , where do i drop these files on the dbox and what steps do need to take after that.

Oggnogg since your the expert here, here is my situation I am better of than most here I can FTP without any problems likewise Flash any image to my Dbox2 with ease. Current image on Dbox2 is sportster_1.0_rc006.2x.img whats easiest way of getting all my channels back?

I'd just like to thank everyone for the excellent advice posted on this forum in the last few days, as the new rom files fixed my Sagem dbox2 straightaway!
I was wondering if someone could advise me with a problem that i suffer from at least once a week, where my EPG disappears and i have to 'Reset EPG' for it to come back. Also, usually when I switch my TV on in the morning, the picture has frozen on the channel I was watching the night before. Usually needs a channel change for the video to start running again. Are these problems due to the image that I am using? My image is 'Boxcracker Bluepeer V1.0' dated July 2006. I've seen a lot of images named on this forum recently (Sportster, Commando, Blade Trinity, etc) which is the best and where can I download them from?

Zedeye , i had a sagem box to which this was a common problem , even with different images i used. I changed to a nokia and have never had any probs .

Why the need for the poor sarcasm? I am merely pointing out the fact I can I do the FTP'ing and flashing so helping me can be easiar, in life they say if you have no decent contribution to make just remain silent I think you should take up on the advice.
