Ok mate mines a Dbox2, you need to be able to flash your dbox2 likewise be able to FTP it. Once you can do them two things its becomes very easy.
Ok using software Hallenberg you need to flash image All.New.Laky Pro1 (which is available on BigMAQ toolbar)
Once flashed using FTP connect your Dbox to your pc/laptop using the key provided enter it(I will tell you when you get to that stage)
Can you flash it using a crossover cable only? I get error with hallenberg saying the ports are already being used, do i need a null modem?
Yes you need a Nullcable to flash image
Ah thats the problem, i will get one 2morrow from maplan

Hi Does any one talk real talk on d box set up.. i have a d box and its been fine for 2 years and now i have lost all channels apart from the big four . what has happend how do i get the others back

put the service files on your desktop minize your ftp and click the file and drag it it will ask ya do u want to copy and replace the file say yes

you can do 2 things cross over the new fixed file to your box via ftp or just update manully
1. Push the blue button on your remote control.
2. Select Tuxbox Commander option 5
.
3. Highlight "keys on the screen" then select ok.
4. Now highlight "Keylist.txt" and push button 4 on remote to edit
5. Here we see the keys, to change the keys push ok on the selected line
.
7. To change letters move up, down left and right on the remote.
8. Input the codes you have and select ok
9. Push the home button to exit and when promted the Red button to save.
10. Remeber that the only part of the line you need to change is the code the rest stays the same.
11. Reboot the box enjoy :-)

Yes thats what you need but if its anyway new lappy it wont have a null connection for you there is a null cable there with a USB on one end to solve that issue check out maplins website they have them there

F**king great thats why i stay up late to hear sucess:P but dont worry about the AU all u need to do now if u havent done it is add the fix file into keys and reboot it will turn its self on BTW TO ANYONE READING THIS POST THERE IS NO NEED TO TURN AU OFF AS IT WORKS FINE IF THE FIXED FILE IS ADDED OR NOT JUST THE FIXED FILE WILL KICK IN WHEN ADDED AND WORK PERFECT )
yeah added the fixed rom 7 10 & 11 to key file then the service & bouquets you sent me (thank you)to the tuxbox/config/zapit file ,overwritin everything when prompted ,switched the box off at the wall waited 5-10 secs & switched back on & BINGO everything came back all channels in order etc so i guess thats it now? or do i need to reboot by remote as well?
Scott ya know the old story dont mess with something that isnt broke but ya u seem to be running running right delighted you got it Keep at it and reseach more and help others here with that what you have also if u can flash that image off your box without rebooting and save it to your pc and add it to my folder for others from your area to make it easyier to sort out

sorry i havent had time to sort out the files that you wanted for your folder tonight (see above) will definatley have time 2moro cos its my day off :)
im not 100% sure how to retreive these files from my box & how to transfer them to your folder (im guessing drag & drop?)but if you can leave me a message (ill check this thread 2moro lunchtime) of how to do it (step by step if poss)i will do it with pleasure i also want to know exactly which files you need me to transfer into your folder

NOTE TO ALL NEWCOMERS this guy is an absolute star! & any probs with your box (keys/flashing/connecting to pc etc)may i suggest that you read back (20 pages or so to when the crash 1st happened) as i think you will now find pretty much all the answers to pretty much all the questions you may have if you dont find the answer to your question i for one would be surprised besides by reading back you might just learn something that you didnt know before i know i did!

jampy i feel the same way but i am sure we will get there in end just wish i knew someone local that fixed them so they could walk me through it, some of the terms used on here are way over my head, but maybe i am just thick
