CAN'T COPY THIS ONE FOR ANYTHING
I TRIED THE VERSION OF SHRINK IT LOCKS UP AT 8%
DECRYPTER GOES THROUGH THE WHOLE DISC THEN GIVES ERROR
AT THE END.
TRIED NEW VERSION OF ANYDVD WITH CLONE DVD LOCKS UP ALSO
DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
asus p4p800,80gb main,160gb avi,80gb downloads,
nvidia 64mb video,nec nd2500a burner,matrox rtx.10,windows xp sp2,2.6ghz processor overclocked to 3.0ghz HT,1.6gb ram

First of all you need to take the cap lock off and type normal. As for this DVD most arnt fortunate enough to get The Forgoten before its release date. Only a few have gotten the DVD early. So try back next week when more people will have the movie after its released, to see what others reports are on it.

The new version of decrypter and shrink will copy the movie. I have copied it fine. The errors at the end of decrypter doesn't mean anything.

decrypter worked fine but shrink stops at 18%
clone dvd does the same sometimes they lock up the computer.
what settings are you using?

haven't change any setting, just downloaded and started using it. it may be your reader drive, try the other one if you have two

i have burned forgotten and little black book with 1st the deckrypter 3.2.0.5 and then to DVD Shrink 3.2 and had no problems with it ..... if u have DVDXCOPY ,cellular, cook out , friday night lights, cat woman , have no problems there .......hope this helps , and happy back uping ......(note *doing this on windows me , how ugly yuck , but it works .(speaking on dvdshrink and deckrupter new version only for windows me :)

and some people who live in nyc has stores that release
these things ahead of time for a hefty price.

Getting the movie ahead of time isn't that big a deal. I know of a dozen ma pa shops that get movies early. Even Blockbuster gets them early, they just choose not to break the street date. The new Decrypter has no problems ripping sony releases anymore. Happy backing

Yup couldnt copy Forgotten niether. using DVDShrink 3.2
on two diff comps on three diff DVD Rom drives (and yes they are all diff. brands) tryed VOBblanker but noo dice. gonna try tweaking it out. let ya all know how that works out. and for all those ppl that couldnt get The Forgotten early...
dont trip its coming out in a week. :D

DLed newest ver of decrypter and it worked. am now using shrink to compress and hopefully i can burn it.

Had no problem backing up The Forgotten and Cookout. The Forgotten took a lil longer with Decrypter but it got the job done.
Sometimes it helps to know who works where to get the movies early before people get them and their kids get ahold of them before the actual release date.

I used the latest version of Decrypter. Then I used VOB Blanker and shrunk it with DVD2One. I ended up burning it with Nero. Took a little while....but it works! (DVD Decrypter took awhile).

Hey, new guy here. I have Decrypter 3.5.1.0. Is there a newer version that I should download? Neither that nor Shrink 3.2 have worked for me on the Forgotten.

I downloaded the new version of Clone2dvd that states in its e-mail as follows:
New: Added support for a new version of the "Sony ARccOS protection" as found on "The Forgotten" (US) to the option to remove "Protection based on unreadable Sectors"
Well I downloaded(not even knowing what "The Forgotten" I believed it was a western with Clint Eastwood and G. Hackman)
freezes up at 39%

Found this thread after trying to copy "The Forgotten" with DVD Shrink and it locked up. I downloaded the new version of Decrypter and did not encounter any problems ripping with normal settings,etc. Saved it to the hard drive then used Shrink to get down to one disc and Nero to burn. It does take longer but is easy and reliable. I have rarely had to use Decrypter in the past, but lately, when nothing else works, it has saved the day!

i tried super dvd copy but then it missed 3 files at the end,then the program got locked up and shut down. They're VTS_18_0.VOB, BUP, and IFO. Then i tried to split the main movie out but preserve the menu by using Clone DVD 2, but then the program quit in the spliting step. It doesn't lock up but it just quit. Any1 has any idea?

Many new DVD's are using Structure Protection which are actual sector errors made on the disc, in addition to the previous encryption they have been using.

Im in the same boat on this one I have tried all the above and no success.. decreptor,shrink,blob blanker and sly fox no success. Any new sugestions??

Have you tried using DVD Decrypter and Shrink together? Also, are you using the new version of Decrypter? I used Decrypter in file mode, did not have one error and then used Shrink to get down to one disk. I downloaded the new version of Decrypter before copying. I did not change any of my settings,etc. for it to work. Compared to many, I am a novice, but it was very easy doing it this way. What happened when you tried Decrypter?
