Hello.
I had the same Problems, but find a Solution.
anydvd 4.5.8.1 and (old) DVDShrink 1.03 !!!
Yes, the new Release occured Errors, but the old one ripped it.
And :
You can direct (before Ripping Prozess) unselect the black Frames !
Select Re-Author - next - add - crop (change only start frame) - next - ... jahooo :-)
Please excuse my bad english ... (but i promise me, when it done, i explain here my Way :-) ).

OK!!! I can't get this movie to burn to save my life. I get the blue screen of death when using DVD Shrink. No idea why. I tried using AnyDVD, but it was a no go. This is the second time I've went out and got this movie only to have it fail. What am I doing wrong?
If at first it doesn't burn, try, try, again.

The Forgotten's various workarounds have been done to death, on forums here on afterdawn, and on official dvd decryptor forum. About time this thread was wound up ??

Hi there,
I registered only for the purpose of sharing the sollution that worked for me.
I've worked with most of the programs described in this thread, but with no luck. I couldn't rip the DVD with any kind of software. Every one of them froze up, or gave errors. DVD Decrypter also had a few errors, which I could ignore, retry, or abort. But whatever I did, I couldn't get the whole DVD to get copied. It always crapped out on me in the first 30% of the process.
Until I tried DVDFab Platinum Express!
It's already been mentioned in this thread. I also gave it a shot, they have a free trial download on their website (www.dvdfab.com).
The program couldn't be easier. It rips and writes the whole DVD at once. Simple as that. No ISO-files or re-authoring.
AnyDVD 4.5.7.1 was still running in the background, from my previous attempts to use DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink, so perhaps that also helped? But I'd doubt it, since it did nothing for the other rippers.
DVDFab offers the following:
Quote: Remove all the restriction of DVD (CSS, Region, RCE, Macrovision, UOPs, etc.)
So it's an all-in package.
The DVD it's written seems to work, haven't seen it completely though. But everything seems to be in order.

Really?
Then why didn't any of the answers help me?
I had to find my own.
DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink still don't work for me on this movie.

have you looked on dvd decryptor official forum too ?? - quote "Everyone needs to upgrade to v3.5.3.0. This will fix all the issues with the 'Structure Protected' discs".
and another quote "**** 3.5.2.0 WILL RIP THIS DISC *****"
If you're having to find your own answer that's great, but pls give us feedback as that helps others. But without much else to go on we must assume you haven't researched as well as you might have.
ps brand new version of DVD Decryptor out today - 3.5.3.0, haven't yet finished reading the changelog but i'll bet it caters better for Forgotten in some way or other. Have a look and get back to us. There are many workarounds for the Forgotten

@Creaky: You're absolutely right! I downloaded the 3.5.3.0 version, and it's now up to 47% without the errors. It's inserting dummy tracks, which it didn't do before with the 3.5.2.0 version on my system.
I haven't got time to wait for the full disc to be ripped, but it seems that they fixed the problem in the new version.
(AnyDVD isn't even running in the background)

I stated way back at the beginning of this forum that I use DVD43 and then I use 1click dvd copy and haven't had any trouble with any movie....DVD43 is just like AnyDVD it runs in the background and from what I've read it's a good idea to close that software and let the movie itself play for about a min. and then open the software it appears to work better that way....I was not trying to offend anyone with the statement I made earlier...

I had this same exact problem with Forgotten. Here's how I fixed it. Uninstall AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2. Delete the folders also. After reinstalling them I copied the movie with CloneDVD 2 with no problem.
