Please someone help me.
like many here my D-box2 does not work anymore
and i know i have to flash with some formware.
i have read over 100 pages on this topic but not a single
one explains what really need to be flashed onto the d-box.
all i want is my db-box to auto-roll so as not to manually
enter keys.
i read on some threads that i only need to flash the d-box
with a new image software via FPA but then in some other
threads i read that i have to flash nagrarom7.bin ,nagrarom10.bin,
and nagrarom11.bin via FTP.
after reading over 100 pages i am totally confused.
now can some please, please advice which one to flash?

all you realy need to do is copy over (FTP)nagrarom7,10&11 over to your box over write the ones that are there then your box should AU ( that's all i did and mine works fine now )

my problem is i can stream not a problem i can record, but the recordin is not visable to my computer???

what is the file extention..?? by the looks of it the windows does not recognise the format that's why it just known as a file rather mpeg or avi.. Can you play the file..?? Vista is a pain in the butt when it comes to mpeg files, i assume when you save your stream it does it as an mpeg..?
if so you could try the changing the ext.. for example at the moment the full file name is 22431981 try chaning this to 22431981.mpeg or .avi........ BUT MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A COPY FIRST BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES..

Hi there, am putting the codes every time they change them & someone said on the forum:- instead putting the new codes in put the au in. Can anyone tell me what this means as Im lost. Thanks

What box have you got and where are you based?
Whatever you say, say nothing when you talk about you know what for if you know who might hear you, you know what youll get. Youll be sent off to you know where for you would not know how long. Maybe I could search through the threads so you dont have to ??

Hi all,
I have a Dbox 2 with Commando Image (I think version 6) .. I would like to block some of the channels and would like to know how do I go about doing that ... I know there is a way to do that using the remote but not quite sure how to do that. You can put a pin no and you need to insert the pin whenever you need to watch those channels. Hope some 1 can help.

i have managed to set the pin and also told the dbox that i wanted to block adult channels as i have several youngish children in the house but it does not seem to work.
if you want i can tell you what ive done, it may give you some ideas then you can tell me where im going wrong eh ! :-)

create a folder using bouquet editor put all the porn into that folder, then highlight the name of the folder press the dbox then across the bottom of the screen - under the blue icon you will see Hide" press the blue button with porn folder highlighted and it will be locked.

hi all in the absence of posts here i have started to read this thread from the very begining , although the info is out of date its suprising what you can learn. i didn't know (untill i got 7 or 8 pages in) that if you typed in the ip addey of your dbox i IE a web page gui was available, i had heard turner and 1 or 2 others talking about a bouquet editor but as i have done all what people had been asking about with just my remote i stupidly thought that was what they were on about.
I have also been messing about with having my box connected to the pc on a more permanent basis ( so i can record and the likes ) but i can not get my pc to connect to my box and to the internet at thesametime, i was all ways having to dissable the the card that connects to my router then modem before i could get my pc to talk to my dbox but today as soon as i pluged in the xover cable in my second network card the pc could to to the dbox once i had told it it was a private network, but it also automatically disabled my internet connection does anyone know what im doing wrong ? any help would be greatfully appreciated

Can any one please help me. i am a complete newbie and i have a nokia dbox2 and it went down a few weeks ago and now i can only get the baic channels .I'm on virgin cable in the herts area.I would apreciate any help in getting it up and running again it has a commando 6 image on it . thanks

hi you dont need the internet on at the same time connect your dbox open ie then type in your ip of the box and you ll connect, thats one way, or you can use wingrab tv that also does it or vlc

hi i need some help fixing my dbox2.
my dbox was originaly on sportster and flashed it with
lacky-pro and lost all channels.
after flashing i did a scan, but the box did not pick up
any channels. infact the scan took about 5 seconds.
so i tryied to reflash it latest sportser image, but it
would not flash.
is my box dead? is there any way i can get back up and running?
please, any advice will be most appreaciated.

Hi stewson i wanted to have a mess around see what i could get the box to do but it gets annouying haveing to disconect my dbox just so i can come on here and ask a question or look for othere files , you get me . guess im just lazy and impatiant as i dont like having to restart my pc as vista seems to take a lifetime to start up. so like i said any idea would be great as im all out of them at the mo

well after reading some threads here, relized my mistake.
i fixed it by re-flashing laky-pro again and then scaned for
channels "switching fast scan off".
all is well.
