Yea check out page 2 aswell
ps3:GPU-24 pipelines producing 5.7 ops each
-700mhz ram.
-On par with geforce 7800
-rsx at 550mhz
-rsx is 1.8 tflops
ps3:CPU-Cell processor
-total of 8 spe's running at 3.2 ghz.
Cell is 218GFLOPS.
Computer Hp pavilion a700n
448 mb of ram(upgrading it to 1gb)
amd3000+
(going to have geforce 7800 soon)
Currently(a shitty intergrated via/s3)

Let me guess you probably have all the Star Wars games for the Xbox right! Do you even understand Marketing a product and what it takes to make any kind of money from it. Sony in all have more game developers working on games for PS than any system ever. Did you hear that any CONSOLE EVER MADE. It could be Apple making a console with a Halo killer app and still get it in the a-s in sales. The more game developers look for what the consumer wants..(Thats what they Make)Hence Halo 1,2,,GTA,Ratchet Clank,and please lets drop the whole who's losing what and what consoles is great cra-p. We all know that Sony markets games a whole hell of alot better than Xbox. Can you count the commercial's for HALO2. I remember 3 of them. Now count Ratchet Clank commercial's (Please Just Stop You Obviously Don't Do Research) I will tell you this you can go buy Xbox 360 and Sony's PS3 maybe even PS3 having better graphics who cares if the games fun thats the system we all buy.

For instance the anime. Have you seen any Anime(japanesse cartoons,very popular in japan)games for the xbox. maybe their and i havent seen them but i know their not big. Uhh why is this in caps? Trying to stand out? And uhh doesnt amtter how much you spend on your computer, Its how good the computers video card is. PS3 and xbox360 and rev will beat most computers. And by the way, i Spent 1400$ on my h p computer, but then i still think that ps3 and xbox360 will beat it graphic wize. ok time for some 360 backup.
first off, about the processors. yes only 1 is being used at the minute therefore its potential is nowhere near released.
when games are multi-threaded then all 3 cores can work at once on the game and on the GPU telling it what to do therefore SERIOUSLY increasing performance, the 3 cores will handle the physics and the loading/movement of data LIKE A DREAM, when that happens BYE BYE bottlenecks. currently the CPU is a HUGE bottleneck on the GPU because its so powerful the single processor cant tell the GPU what to do fast enough, and still performance is excellent in games (a good fps rate). so just imagine when all 3 are in use.
as for the quality of the graphics, for once kookoo is right, all 3 cores wont make the graphics better, it will just increase the performance by a FKING LOT. BUT what he didnt say is that BECAUSE OF THIS HUGE PERFORMANCE increase, games developers can take advantage of it and UP the graphical settings ON THEIR GAMES, to make the graphics look much better, with blinding performance even with everything set to full.
the CPU(s -eventually) handle the physics of the game and when all 3 r in use the speed of which they are done will be extremely high.
and physics handling is primarily (70%) general performance power of the procesor and NOT primarily floating point calculations, which the PS3's SPE's ONLY DO (they DO NOT provide general performance, PS3 only has 1 general performance core, from which the 7 SPE's are part of). so because xbox 360 has 3 general performance cores compared to PS3's one (as SPE's aint general performance), when it comes to performance the XBOX 360's processors will OWN the PS3 when it comes to gameplaying (which is what they are mainly for).
Yes the PS3 has a much better teraflop count, but did u people know that the unit of teraflop is FLOATING POINT CALCULATIONS which is only 30% of the games physics which the processors handle.
the other 70% is general performance so the 360 wins. (i know i have kinda repeated that but i really want to get my point across strongly)
360 has the better GPU 2 (as i explained on some other topic and i cant be arsed to say it all over again).
so overall the 360 wins
DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ALL THE BIASED ARTICLES, OF WHICH THERE ARE MANY, THAT SAY THE PS3 IS MORE POWERFUL BECAUSE ACTUALLY IT IS NOT, JUST BY LOOKING AT BIASED REVIEWS AND THE SPECS U WILL THINK THAT THE PS3 IS BETTER, NOT TRUE.
i know a lot on what games need to power them well, and processor wise GAMES DEFINATELY ARE AT TOPS a pethetic 30% floating point calculations, so why has sony made 7 of these SPE's, when games are mainly general performance, the fools!
so the sony CPU (yes only 1 as SPE's arnt proper processors, they are only part of the main single one) will give a lower framerate (much lower) than what the xbox CPUS will give.
360 wins (normally a person would only find this out if they know A LOT about tech, and what games need, and if they do some proper good researching), most people dont know or do that so i have to get the truth out and tell them, relieve them of the falseness of sony,
360 is the most powerful
Read all what i wrote above before u lecture it (as i know some of u will)
Don't judge the consoles by specs, more isnt always better, espec in PS3 specs.i know the truth, ask if u wanna know.......

i am totally with the xbox 360 fans. ps3 is going to suck and not compare to xbox 360. dont put them in the same category. i dont know what xbox 360 that guy got but the one i got, i have nvr sen shit like that before. it is out of this world awesome. that sucks for everyone that did not pre-order it. u must have a 1656 television then. i am playing 360 as i type. this a off the hook. japan is a bunvh of shitheads who cant drive and eat with there mouth open so who cares!!!!! 360 RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and what up with the revolution remote look like a vibrator!!!!

yeah kookoo, i'd say it's bad that none of the games are using the 360 hardcore.
but it's to be expected. The new PS2 games that have been released in the past couple months kick the shit out of a lot of older PS2 games. The same thing is going to happen with the PS3 games and Revolution games. They games should only get better, even thought the console stays the same.
And yes, there isn't that big of a difference between the graphics of 360 compared to regular Xbox. Give it a couple years, though.

Actually that 30% is for CPU only. The graphics should look much better in a few years but probably not by 3-4 times what it is now unless all the launch games were made too fast and they didn't fine tune it at all and came up with the engine in 10 mins on a pizza box.

well i think saying ps3 is better in graphics is wrong. for one thing all the videos and trailers for ps3 are not from the system they are just made videos that can be graphically as good as possible. and lastly ps3's not even out yet wait before judjing 360

microsoft lost like 4 billion dollars on the xbox 360 didnt they (a lot), but the articles ( that try to help sony - biased, and even microsoft didnt say everything, as they probably want ur sympathy vote) never said anything about HOW MUCH THE GAMES MADE DID THEY.
HALO and HALO 2 made over half a billion dollars for microsoft, and that is JUST 2 games, add all the profit made from all the other games (lots and lots) AND THE VALUE WAY EXCEDES 4 BILLION DOLLARS, no body every mentioned that did they, darned PS3 sony bummers, dont listed to them 360 men, cos its more powerful, with better games and microsoft did make money from it, even if they said they lost money (they want ur sympathy).
besides, who cares about how well the companies are doing anyway, all u lot should care about is 'does the console entertain me', the answer is obviously yes.

Microsoft has lost around $4 billion on their Xbox investment. This includes everything regarding the Xbox. Microsoft looks to use the initial investment to drive their future consoles (aka 360) in the market.
It's up to you whether you consider a 4 billion dollar loss a success or failure. Microsoft is lucky it has such a vast amount of money availiable to withstand a massive loss. The future will tell whether the investment turned out to be a smart move by the company.

Ya everyone here is right cept the person who started it. The 360 launch games are only using 1 processor and so thats why the graphics arent amazing, better than any I have seen before, but not amazing. Once they get the hang of using all 3 processors the games such as Halo 3 are gonna be amazing.

my opinion as to why ps3 will win yet again is simply numbers we can fight and argue and maybe change some opinions but if you go to any JOE on the street 90% of them want PS3 instead of XBOX 360 and im talking about the people who don't know their left from right when it comes to computers
and xbox360 made a mistake with just going with the old crapy dvd where as ps3 is going with the new technology of BLUE-RAY which is awsome and will save me to have to buy a blue-ray player in the future
