when I upgraded my xbox, I put a big HD in it. So the 10 gig HD from the xbox was left over. Hard Drives are just lumps of metal with 2 connectors on the back. The only difference between them is the spacing between the connectors and the size of the storage. The Sony Network Adaptor has a fixed spacing between the connectors, so all you need is a HD with that spacing. Maxtor fit, Seagate fit.

I have a Proper version of HD Loader in PAL format and it doesnt let you, its very basic. All i want to do is back it up so i can keep the disc in good condition and use the copy instead, if you or anyone else knows what program would let me rip it into an ISO please come forward now...

there is a version of HDA called HDA.ELF, you install it to your memory card along with the memory card exploit. When you try to boot a PS1 original game, control is passed to the memory card, and HDA.ELF boots. This means you don't need an original of HD loader or a chipped PS2 to run the HD. I have it, it's very good and dead easy to use. Ridge Racer for the PS1 is the only game that ever sits in my PS2 now, and that boots HDA (or HD Loader)

OK please tell me how i can make my HD Loader program run from memory card instead of the HD Loader disc, as this would be quicker loading time and obviously no wear on my lazer. Just to clear things I have HD Loader for my PS2 to play games on the Hard Drive, and am NOT interested in playing PS1 games on it.
Thank You
If you want you can Email me the info on gozzy@blueyonder.co.uk

you know when you burn the disc in nero, what option do you use to burn the disc? would it be just normal data disc, or bootable data disc?? And another thing, what version of nero are you refering to, as mine is Nero Express and appears to be pretty shit LOL
Thanks

Here are more sites that provide instruction on using the memory card exploit.

In return if someone can tell me how to avoid having to purchase swap disc etc, to actually do the install I would greatly appreciate it. The problem is, I would be obtaining a cracked version of HD Loader, or I need some way to boot the cd-r, that is free w/o having to purchase something. Perhaps a copy of something, a cracked something, or a downloadable something.
