I am also wondering for those who have LINUX, is it possable to find out the dns that pso 1&2 PLUS is looking for using ETHEREAL? here is their address: http://www.ethereal.com/
Having some pso tools for linux to experiment with will help alot, but I have searched all over the place and I cant seem to find any.

That information has already been posted on the Internet somewhere. It might turn up in a google search. Basically as I remember it there are three seperate hosts that are used depending on the region (JAP/US/Euro).
PS2 - v8
Mod - Magic V
Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05
Media - Anything Cheap
Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter

Taken from the README.TXT file that comes with PSUL 1.1:
Quote: About DNS
=========
PSUL has its own tiny DNS server so the GC connects to your PC instead of
connecting to SEGA.
If you run your own DNS server, you need to use the -d switch and cause these
domains to resolve to your PC's IP address:
- pso-gc01.sonic.isao.net (Japanese PSO)
- gc01.st-pso.games.sega.net (American PSO)
- pso-gc1.pso.playsega.com (European PSO)
If you don't know how to do this, maybe you shouldn't be running a DNS server.

Is there a burning program that allows you to burn the last sector of a ISO or GCM file first and the first sector last.
Because if there is that would be the solution to burning GameCube game the right way. If any any one knows one please tell me.

Instead of trying to get your burner to burn backwards, why not make a program that reads a Gamecube ISO file from disk and writes it back to disc to a new file but in reverse order then burn that reversed image file? I could make such a program if someone would like to describe the exact algorithm they would like me to use.

Can some one please help me,
I have just gotton the PSO 1&2 (original) in the mail the other day, I set up the gamecube and tcp/ip on my computer as per the instructions, I and using psul 2.0 and also tried an latest and older verison and eur_acl1.exe and eur_acl1.dol I used gamecube ripping server 1_0_0_29 to rip mario sunshine, soul caliber 2 and sonic dx. and I also downloaded the last released paradox loader, with gui, EVERYTHING seems to have worked fine the game cube was communicating with the pc fine the boot loader stated up, I pressed start and some data started to be transferd but then stopped, the tv said that it was still loading but the dots stoped on the server side and all I was left with was a black screen. I could understand if it was one maybe even two of the games but all three? am I doing anything wrong? I have tried over and over for almost 6 hours and also tried older loaders

I've managed to get this lot sussed out, eventually!
I'm having a few problems streaming games, I've used Paradox.GC.Disc.Server.v1.3.0Beta and KididFEv1.3 and the Paradox one works ok for one game, which I burnt onto an 8cm DVD, and that streams ok, but I've also got Luigi's Mansion, and tried to stream the GCM file, but it crashes out .... just literally does nothing, as does Bomberman Land 2.
I've had a look through this post and on the forum and didn't find anything similar .... does anyone have any ideas?
Thanx!

This is too crazy...! It can't be so difficult to find out the secrets of the cube and build a working modchip in order to play real copied discs, not any PSO-PC shit. Who really wants to play like that, not me?!!! Rather I'll buy the games, if the only choice is the hecking stream copy what ever.
Try harder to figure the rutines out - those of you who are able to do that. If cube were PSX, it would've been hacked billion years ago...

This is a nuisance post..why to post this? Don't bother posting pointless negative stuff in a thread where everyone else is really into something..if you feel strongly enough about this then create your own thread dedicated to that purpose...

So you mean its illegal to give opinions in this thread. I just want to remind you about thinking... This looks so insane to me. X-\
It's only $10 to bye games in Ebay anyway. I'm surprised if you're happy doing something like this. Okay, don't be bothered by me...

Well POS loader will be a thing of the past looks like the viper chip with cobra BIOS will boot the copied games. It requires a swap disc but maybe as time goes on they will hack that even.

I think for most of us (who arn't just in it to make / play illegal copies) it is more about the challenge and acheivement of cracking the 'uncrackable' system.... when I managed to boot up a game succesfully the first time I felt a great feeling ofaccomplishment as it was a long hard journey to do it!

it is not a matter of the cost of the games, I am happy purchasing my games, I like having the real thing, but I hate having to have to buy the same games more than once or twice even (I have kids), I also find the challenge of getting it to work a little fun and a great way to pass time.
can someone please help me with my last post. if you would like, I will supply my yahoo name.

Is there any way at all to make US PSO Plus work? Through a series of rather unfortunate events, my normal PSO has been lost, and all that is left in the house is PSO Plus.
Blah.

PSO+ is not currently working (and since the release of the modchip, the project may well be dropped IMO)

ok I understand that, and after finding out the hard way of actually trying pso+ I had gone out and spend almost $65.00 on a ORIGINAL VERSION of PSO (hehe now I have two pso's) even with the mod chip come out, I just want to be able to say I did the pso trick. if some one can please help me I would really appreciate it for some reason after making the .gcm files and trying to upload to the GC, I get the boot loader and then I click start, it starts to load then crash's (just a black screen). I made gcm files of my Super Mario sunshine and Soul Calibur 2 and Sonic DX and all the same thing happend. I heard that some games dont work with this method. Here is a listing of all the games I have so far:
dead to rights
star wars rogue leader
metriod prime
super mario sunshine
soul calibur 2
madden 2002 (hehe on sale at toys r us for 4.99)
spyhunter
Eternal Darkness sanity's requiem
along with the two versions of Phantasy Star Online 1&2 (original and plus)
and one more, I am not sure what it is or where its at (maybe someplace in my kids room)
If there are any known problems with using the pso hack with any of these games can some one please let me know
or maybe it may be my NIC its a realtech 10/100

Here ya go bud, there's an online list of what should work and if it's not in there I presume it won;t.
http://list.gc-compat.com/
I've also been trying streaming myself and have found some games that won't stream (Bomberman Land 2 for example) and it's not on the list, so presume it doesn't work. I've had some success with other games like Mario Party 4 as that works well, just very slow animation!
Hope this helps.

Sounds like you only problem is the network card speed on your computer. on some of the loaders you need to force the speed down to 10 meg/half duplex. the newer loaders can get around this but you need to have a hub not a direct crossover cable. so I would start with that.

Just a quick point on this subject; I'm using a router, and the light changes from orange to green (100 to 10mb), is this suitable or do I need to change my NIC to 10mb as well or leave it as 100mb default?
Thanx!
