I had alot of trouble doing the router approce so I just used a hub instead. I would try that. another problem is on the routers some loaders with switch the speed after you get the game started to load. and the router responds kind of slow so it does like a quick drop and connection in the loader. but on a little hub or small switch its so fast it doesn't have a problem. but on the router is makes it a bit longer so I think thats why you getting that black screen after like a starcube loading. if you are even getting that far.

Quote: no that card will be fine, i used to do this on that exact same card. are you using a crossover cable or a hub?
Thanks I am using a crossover cable, as far as I also know, I have the newver version of eur_acl1 and psul and stuff. I dont know how to force the speed down (if thats really needed at all)
it takes balls to wear a kilt as a norm

if you are using a cross over cable windows XP will auto negotiate on it and that wont be the problem. try using cubsoft phoenix, its easier to use than seperate packages..

POS 1&2 plus is very hard to get working unless you know what to do. Most people that get it working really don't even post that they did because you need to understand a bit on how the DNS server works and how to fake your computer. I got mine working but I'm not even going to try to post the steps because I don't think I could really word it that well and it does take alot of networking KB to make it work. Besides at this point I'm doing the viperGC chip I ordered mine last week so I will have it anyday now. I allready d/led a cobra bios so I will flash it as soon as I get it.

Bottom line is that you cannot stream with PSO+/PSOIII US/PAL) version. It is a very safe bet that you will never be able to use those games to stream.

thats fine you can say that because I think less than 5% of the members here could make it work I know I did. but thats only because I really understood what was going on and figured out excatly what I needed to do. and another thing is not like you going to beable to write steps out on how to do this because some nobo will read somthing wrong and cause more problem with his computer and blame anyone that did post how to do it. just do your self a favor Don't try to get POS Plus to work for any reason. If your that determinded to make backups work try getting the mod chip and flashing it and installing it. or better yet get try to make one of them screw drivers to take the GC apart with a pen cap and lighter. And besides Streams the games does really suck anyway. the speed is not that great and some games are quite chopy. and the sound quality sucks.

I hate to call you a fibber Bizquick but Costis (the person that wrote PSOLoad) could not figure out a way to stream with the mentioned game. Actually he said it was impossible.
You can go over to www.gcdev.com for more info

I don't mean to call anyone a liar or anything but I'll bet Costis did make it work after lots of effort. Like I said its not somthing they would post because alot of nobo's would try it and fuck up their computers by not doing somthing right. Its a real pain in the ass to make it work and to be honest its not worth the effort to even do it. If you have good Networking Skills and and understand how DNS servers work you can make it happen. Well I just got my ViperGC chip in about 10 mins ago so I'm going to flash this chip and start installing.
But honestly we need to stop talking about PSO Plus working or not working. It works but very diffcult steps need to be applied. and I was trying to help one user here but I think I need to stop his level is alot less than I expected and I think he will not get there. but if your a good Network Admin and understand DNS servers and IP's we can talk and we can make it work.

I've tried burning a GCM ISO to an 8cm Disc and it won't play in the cube ... or at least without being chipped, although it did play through the pc when I streamed it, so I suppose this is one way of keeping your backups off your hard drive!

for fucks sake... the only needless post is yours, indienemo.
now with the viper modchip, you CAN play backups on minidvdrs or if you remove the gamecube cover you can also play backups on standard size dvdrs.

You can also buy ViperGC's from www.robotpig.com. Although, they are out of stock until Jan.5th ETA. I ordered one from him, and got it in 4 days, with EMS. And I also use him as my XBOX and PS2 chip supplier. He is very reliable and trustworthy.
PS2 w/Messiah Pro2
PS2 v7 & v5 w/Swap Magic 2.0 & No-SolderPNP
XBOX X2.2 Pro 200GB w/X2 4978.03&Complex4627 BIOS
XBOX Apple X3 160GB HD w/EvoX M7 BIOS
XBOX TSOP Flash w/X2 4977 BIOS

my post was not needless. in fact i would go as far as to say it was very appropriate... there are loads of lurkers that come onto these forums and ask "can i play gamecube games on mini dvd-r?" (without even a chip), it must of been asked about 40 times now and it wastes everyones time.

this thread is over a year old and it has been stated several times that you CANNOT play games on a mini dvdr, but this is now outdated info since you CAN with the modchip.

You still have to stream a rip tool to the Gamecube in order to read the contents of the original game disc or download a pre-ripped image.
PS2 - v8
Mod - Magic V
Burner - CenDyne (Pioneer) DVR-A05
Media - Anything Cheap
Gamecube w/Broadband Adapter
Phantasy Star Online
Animal Crossing Loader v1.4
Phantasy Star Uploader v1.1
Gamecube ISO Ripping Server v1.0.0.29
