ask your uncle what system you install for an r4 sdhc cos i downloading a lot of games before hand but im having a lot of trouble getting the system on to my r4/microsd. i dont know which system i should use, iv'e tried many. try getting me a link to the right 1. tyvm. send me a link maybe to the software you installed.

thats easy if you already downloaded the files!Download them on a new file like any where randomly on your computer where you can access it.(I recommend on your desktop.)Okay, you have the same R4 as me I think so there should be a little chip in the game card that you can see on the back. ___ About this big?You have to pull it out of your game card and put| |
|__| it into your SD/USB.Then insert it into your computer correctly.Open the file that pops up and click on "Games" and then go to the new file you made with the games you downloaded and copy and paste to the game file.I'll check up on the program un momento.

oh do you have any clue what to do if my ds freezes when i click on games on mine??I can't access any of my games afer it freezes and i an't scroll or anything!

no sorry i dont know how to solve any of your problems. and i dont understand wot you saying(did your uncle give you the ds with the software already on) and wot chip you on about at the back of the r4. i think u mean the memory card which is a micro sd. Also i do not want to download games on my r4 atm. i wanna at least get the r4 menu up on my ds.
So can you find out which software i should use and why does it say please put loaderxxx on to your sd card

im guessing you got the software already on your r4 because you're saying that it already has the folder games on. if you have msn please send me your email address in private and then we can talk online quickly.
Thing is if youre saying it says games on your memory stick, theres files around that also which is the system which i need. Can you like copy and paste that system for me somehow. That is wot i will need. Not the games folder but the folders around it.

I'm getting the Loading... message using a 4GB SDHC memory card on an original R4 Card. I know that the original R4 card was only ever supposed to use normal SD cards but is there any firmware out there that will allow me to use an SDHC memory card on a Mark 1 R4 Card?

Hello Folks! I'm a new member and came across this thread in a search engine when looking for solutions to my problem.
I am having some trouble with my R4 card, I really don't know what to do at the moment.
1) What type is your console - Nintendo DSi
2) What type of R4 you have - Hyper-R4i
3) What size is your SD card - 4 gb
4) What make is your SD card - I believe it is sandisk
5) What is the problem (Loading screen showing, Menu showing etc).
The problem is that when I try to load a game, a white screen appears and then it freezes. I am able to access the R4 menu.
Sometimes when I try to load a game the beginning of the game, where it displays nintendo and the other company's that make the game loads up and shows, but then it goes to a white screen or occasionally a black screen and freezes.
I reformatted my SD card, using the Panasonic SD formatter as suggested by the forum, and used the latest updates,but to no avail I am not able to play any games.
I would really appreciate any help,

Rosemary - Hi and welcome to our humble abode; very good info in your post there, you've obviously done your research; good stuff, have you looked here ~ http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/ and checked for any newer firmware ?, just search down that link for Hyper-R4i.
There's a link to a 1.4 firmware update there also, i don't own a DSi myself but i believe you have to be very careful updating DSi's due to deliberately broken firmware out there that disables or wrecks the DSi.
Something to be aware of..

hi creaky/puggwash.
ive been waiting for someone to reply to my message. the only persopn who has is serenity. Please answer back quickly and ty in advance.

5) What is the problem Any software i use (even if i dont use a software and i jsut put r4 card with empty sd card in) it says please put loaderxxx on to sd card.
I have looked on all 22 pages of this forum and i cant find any reasons why it is messed up, any help? I believe (i think) superred had the same problem. I cant remember.

iv been on that website, i downlaoded a couple of them and still the same message ""please put laoderxxx on to your sd card"" you know why it is saying that. also which version you want me to download(specific)

Without us (or you) knowing which site you got the R4 from, the only real way to find out which kernel/firmware to use is to download them one at a time from that link until you find one that works..

Last call for help!
I purchased a R4i Revolution card for my sons dsi and it came with a 1gb Sandisk micro SD. All was well until I updated his consol to v1.4e (I know - shoot me!)and I now get message saying "error, please turn off and refer to manual. I have been online for 2 days trying to solve the issue and now at the point of buying him a new one.
I have downloaded the _ds_menu.dat, _ds_mshl.nds and the _ds_menu as advised on the r4ultra website to the micro card and still no joy, please someone give me the answer.

Thank you for the welcome! Yes, I saw that website in someones post earlier in this thread and used that update on my DSi but I still get the same problem and there is no newer firmware at the moment. Oy vay, I feel like I am so close to getting it to work, I wonder what I am missing.

I have recently purchased the aforementioned card and put the 1.14b firmware on.
However my games load incredibly slow, the likes of GTA Chinatown Wars and Zelda take up to 5 minutes to load, others load almost instantaneously.
I've tried different firmwares, but to no avail.
Any ideas?

I contacted the business that sold me the Hyper-R4i and followed their instructions in downloading and running an update on my DSi but it seemed to have done more damage than good. Now I cannot access the R4i menu and it is stull on the 'Now loading...' screen. Oh dear, what do I do now?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but updating to 1.4 disables the flashcart, you now need a 1.4 specific (or decent card that can be upgraded) if your cart has an update to the kernal for 1.4 then it can be done (needs a DSLite or 1.3 DSi to run it)if not then you need a new cart.
Look at M3iZero, AceKard 2i, EZ Flash Vi

Hi to all those who have had problems with thier DS over the Xmas period. Im sorry you have not got them working yet and Iv'e just seen the vast emails sent to me asking for help.
You will be glad to know Im back after spending time with my family and I will endevour to answer everyone's call.
Please note, all firmware that is offered will work for the DS consoles but depending on the R4 and SD card (inc size) you have bought, majority will not get you through.
I will do my best to help you all but sometimes the pain of waiting is a benefit when you get the right pieces together.
Please note that all the help you get from others on here are valid and they only have the interest of helping you out. Please let everyone you know who has DS problems, were to find us and comment on the work we put in to get you running.

If you have any problems with your ds just ask puggwash and he will help you as he helped me after i spent 3 days working out which software to downlaod as i had a message appearing saying please put loaderxxx on to sd card.
If any of you has thast problem or a problem with a 4d sdhc upgrade just ask me and il give you the software which puggwash gave me.
