Hi there.... I have some prob with my PSP... I try to update from 3.71 M33-4 to 3.80 M33. But its seems the Firmware became to Version 3.80 without M33.... Hmmm.... Do i doing anything wrong??? Please advice. Thx before.

installing 3.80m33
you need to be on 3.52m33-3 or higher to install this
Get 3.80m33 here http://dark-alex.org/
get ofw 3.80 eboot here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1377
- Copy the UPDATE folder into /PSP/GAME/
- Get the 3.80 sony update from somewhere, and put it in same folder, with name "380.PBP".
- Run it, the update will be done by Sony updater. At the end when you are asked to reboot the
PSP pressing X or O, do it.

You should now be on 3.80m33
did u do this? if ur on 3.80 you will need a pandora battery and card too get back to 3.71m33 so u can go to 3.80m33

i get an error when i update my PSP from 3.52-4 m33 to 3.80 m33 or 3.71 m33.
The error i get is:
Verifying 380.PBP...OK
Verifying u235.prx...OK
Error 0x00000060 checking id degeneration
Can anyone help me out? can't i just update straight from 1.50 to 3.80?
I have the classic PSP not the PSP Slim.

if you on FW1.50,just create DCv4,n then go straight to 3.80M33-5.

Hello i just installed the 1.50 kernel add on 2 and now i want to upgrade to 3.71m33-2, but when i dragged the UPDATE folder to his place, and run xmb, there's an icon that says's "3.80m33", i get confused here, since i thought i was installing 3.71m33-2, when i try to run it the psp entertainment screen start, and my psp freezes, and after 30 seconds my psp shuts down. I could need some help here plz, Thanks in advance

whats up ok thanks to the guide i have successfully upgraded to 3.80m33-4 from previous 1.50 OFC..(thank you) got a few questions for you though so here go's...and yeah they might be stupid questions but I just got to know...so please shed some light:)
ok when you say press select in xmb what are you talking about?
is it possible to corrupt a iso/cso that you downloaded almost every time? Or is it even more possible that the dang file was crap from the get go?
also what do you think is the percentage of good files and bad files when you download them? by percentage for example (25% good 75% bad...i read one of you post somewhere and i think i recalled you answering someone else post with "so your problem most likely is I downloaded a ISO"
I downloaded about 7 CSO's, two of them worked perfectly:) 1 of them (ffvII crisis core[Jap]version) would show up in the game folder on my psp screen(background with music and everything including the little movie in the little box lol)) but when I press to play it :(:(:(:(the screen goes black i waited about 30 seconds then I say screw it by pressing home button to read japanese words in our english version of end the game (anybody got anything on this?)
one game in particular displayed in my game folder on the screen but was obvioulsy corrupt because the background was all messed up but i noticed the first time i copied it it took about (3) minutes (and it didnt show up at all in the game folder) but the second time it took about (12) minutes to copy(it was about 700mb) and thats when it showed up in the game folder but yet it still wouldnt play saying" game could not be started" those infamous words lol. has anyone else noticed this or had this problem?
but keep in mind (2) out of (7) iso/cso's actually did work so im just testing theory

hey, I used this guide before and it's great. I have a bit of a problem when I'm trying to add the 1.5 kernel for 3.80m33-5. I followed the instructions exactly, but it shows up on the memory stick as corrupt. What could I have done wrong? thanks :)

So many questions .. No answers, we need a hero, who can answer em all, .. erm ye and the guide is awesome. but when i try to update it to

Probably just need to redownload it, I've had that happen a few times before :D

Are you using a fat or slim PSP? Slim's cannot use the 1.5 kernel. Also the 3.80M33 has it own 1.50 kernel.

Hi guys,
I am currently trying to upgrade from 3.71 M33-4 to 3.80 m33 with no success.
I have downloaded the updates from http://dark-alex.org/ and i have put the 3.80 OFW into the same folder. After i press X. i get 2 msgs: Verifying 380.PBP...OK
Verifying u235.prx...OK
Then, when it tries to startup the updater, i get the following msg: "The system configuration of this PSP system does not appear to be correct. The update cannot be completed. Contact technical support for assistace.(DRNFFFFFFCD).
I have also tried using the easy installer and still no go.

K ive managed to get upto 3.71 m33-4 fm but when i try AVP Requiem it dont load...does this game use a higher fm....my other games work fine, do i need to change any sort of settings?
Trying the repack version...apparantley the first version out didnt load.

hey sicdude thx for the guides man.. i just realized you gotta rename the eboot from ofw 3.80 to 380.PBP not the overall folder containing the eboot
by the way.. how come you didnt update to 3.80m33-5 or 3.90m33??
just wondering :)
is 3.80m33-4 the most stable or something??
