mine does 2.4x too. not all burners can be set at all speeds. 2.4 is probably the lowest speed both of our burners can write at, but it's still slow enough. anyways, I burned this game no problem. doesn't skip or stutter like other games have been for me recently. it runs perfectly. :) fun game by the way. I like the art style for the videos.

I FOUND OUT A WAY TO FIX ITTT, YAYAY IM SO EXCITED.. all u have to do is.

Burn iso on DVD Decrypter, at the lowest speed possible( mine automatically changed to 2.4X)

Ill tell u The dvd that i used and it works perfectly. I used a..

MAXWELL DVD+RW 4.7GB VIDEO DATA SINGLE SIDED REWRITABLE

AND BURNT IT AT 2.4x IT WORKS BRILLIANTLY.

The first time i burned it i had those problems and u was using nero express, and burning at 2.4 but wen i changed to DVD Decrypter and used that maxwell dvd+rw it works like a charm. im on the #9 blacklist person on the game and have had no problems so far.

hope this helps

mystro - I'm glad it worked for but RWs are not recommended for games...many PS2 models can't read them at all and they do degrade much faster than regular Rs.

all i can say is that i hope that game gets a bit harder for me or i will have it finished this weekend. Up to blacklist #8
and have only played it about 6 times.
one little tip that works for me, after you beat a blacklist member
and get to choose tokens, choose the 3rd one with the "?".
on mine it is the pinkslip to their car every time so far.
then i just sell them for cash and bump up the cars i like some more
like the Lotus,& Cobolt (yeah you heard me right), the Cobolt
is actually a really good car to spend your money on. It handles
great compared to some of the cars that are considered better
than it is. I whooped quite a lot of people with that one so far.

Im glad to hear this, i finally helped some 1 for the first time in my life. And back to the point, i have used Rw for a VERY long time wiv no problems on my ps2 it seems to read Rw alot better dan dvd-r or +r's, i duno y i recently got the backup for sims2 on ps2 burnt it on a normale maxwell dvd-r at 2.4x and it didt work properly, den i remebered i had a dvd+rw sum were wiv motogp4 on it, so i deleted dat of it and burnt sims2 agen on the dvd+rw Maxwell 1 and it worked perfecly, this is also the same disk i brunt need for speed wiv and it works perfecly.. so my point if i fink my ps2 is disabled, like its just mental it takes eeny thing i have reused the same dvd+r (mexwell), and it seems to get better??

Ive just got hold of the game although its not a .ISO image. It seems to be patched already as it has the system.cnf file.

The files it has in the zip file it comes in are:

NFS (folder with files in it)
SLES_535.57
system.cnf

Are these all i need? and also how do i go about burning this to play on my PS2?

- PSP1000 V1.50
- PS2 mesiah chip im told?

None of you apparently can read...cause if you had you'd know all you have to do is press the SQUARE button to boot with Swap Magic (instead of X) and it fixes the problem...the "Loading" problem has nothing to do with media.

im not sure, i fink u would need to make them files into an iso, i think isomagic, it creates iso's just drag dem into pthe box and select the destination. there u should have the iso, burn it at the lowest speeds possible 1x, 2x or 2.4x, on a maxell DVD+R like the one above den it shud work perfecly..??
