Thanks crzyfl. I'm also in Australia mate but Dvd Crave only stocks the modem adapter now so I brought one off ebay at a very reasonable price :)

I am gonna purchase the max drive pro from codejunkies website so once I get that I should be set to go.

EDIT:- I just checked the codejunkies website and when I go to order the max drive pro it says that its the usa version...would this still work on my Pal Gamecube?

Ok I just checked the UK website but it would end up costing me something like $90.00+ which is crazy...Does anyone know where I can get the Max Drive Pro at a more reasonable price.

ForceX,
I am pretty sure that it will work because the same thing happened to me and mine works fine.

xsamurai,
Have you tried http://www.ngcdev.com ? or maxconsole.net? they are good sources of info and files.

Yes my max drive is US, I think that they are non reigon dependant. My gamecube is a local one (PAL), not imported.

Hey guys great info here I am a newbie to the GC modding stuff I will go over what I think I know.

the only way to rip a game is thru a boardband adapter and PSO to set it so the PC can make the ISO with the sevrer program?

the modchips for the GC do not run FULL DVD games yet (homebrew and modchip update dvds yes)

The only reason to get a DVD case mod is to run the modchip update off a DVD and homebrews?

workign on moding my PS2 all the way befor I mvoe tot eh next system.

NO. One way is to have a BBA and a modififed GC, run ngcdev ripper DOL and use a web browser on your PC.

NO. I have had no problems run mini-DVDs (same size as commercial games) with Viper GC.

hi i'm new to this. i just purchased this game yesterday. i tried following the instructions but i get up to the point where u save the game on the memory card but for some reason psul does not connect. i have verizon dsl and i hooked up the modem to my pc using a usb adapter and have a crossover wire connected from my pc to the gamecube. there seems to be a connection because when i set the local area connection, i can only get online when the gamecube is on. any help would be appreciated and if there is anyone who can actually walk me through this step by step using im, my screen name is KAngle2005@aol.com. thanks

Okay to back up all you need is a copy of Maxdrive Pro from Codejunkies, GCOS 1.4, a GC broadband adapter and an ethernet crossover cable. There's full instructions online! No need for a copy of Phantasy Star Online!

Ok, i did everything in the guide (not really)
I dont get my cube connected to my pc.. i have a dedicated network card for it. got the cable in there but the network icon on my pc shows that there's nothing connected... ? so i checked the cable but its in there good. any idea's?

Edit: can it be the cable? i think am just using an ordinary cable i use at lan partys.
Cus my comp says the cable is not connected... i tried 3 different ones. Do i HAVE to use a crosswired cable or something?

Yes. If you are connecting directly from one comp to the other without a hub/switch then you will need one of these crossover cables.

actually, windows xp can create a software bridge when you're doing a connection, but it's a pain in the butt. you should just use a crossover cable. :P

well guys...sincerely...im disapointed with all of this. IM A SUPER FAN OF NINTENDO, but unfortunaly i havent lots of money to buy as many games as i wanted. So, i am at long time, surfing on the net, researching about how to play copys of NGC games.
Yesterday i bought a Qoob PRO CHIP, im still waiting for it, after i install it on my Gamecube, i hope i can play in it Gamecube copys.
I know i can download isos from net, but, i just need to burn them to a DVD-R normally? Other case, how can i RIP a gamecube game directly to my pc ? Do i need to read original game with my Gamecube modded with the QOOB PRO chip turned to my PC via USB? Does exist a program to rip a Game from my PC DvD drive directly? None of this simple answers i ever found. :(

Solecist,
You cannot currently rip a gamecube game using a computer's dvd drive. Only a gamecube can read the gamecube's discs. The best way (and only that I know works) is to get an ethernet card/broadband adapter for your GC and stream the data to your PC using various bios (only one I have used is GCoS). I don't know if you can flash your Qoob with GCos but if you can...do it. The usb for the Qoob is only to flash on a bios I think, but you should ask someone with first hand experience on this. I only use the Max Drive Pro softmod. Apparently you can write discs with a DVD burner but I won't attest to this as I haven't done it. I just keep all my GC images on my PC and stream back to play
