Erm.
Okay. I downloaded the nin_wifi_fullpack or whatever and when I insert the nintendo wifi usb connector into my computer it just says found new hardware nintendo wifi connector and it doesn't show any buffalo drivers like it did in your video. Does the nin_wifi_fullpack need to be in the nintendo wifi connector folder? Does the nintendo wifi usb connector supposed to be installed???

I hope people are still checking this forum.

Anyways,
Thanks for any help.

Could someone please help me? I followed the guide to the letter and keep getting this message in ASUS when I try to hit Apply.

Cannot copy driver to system directory.

I checked in ASUS program files and the drivers are there so I don't know what the problem is. Anyone have any advice?

You have to manually copy the drivers out of ASUS install directory to your Driver directory, or system32. Been awhile.

Hope this helps

Hey I have successfully set up my nintendo wifi usb connector and i am able to use it for my DS.

However i have tried setting up my PS3 using the connector but each time i try i keep getting an error: 80710102 (An error occured while resolving the name with the server). It says it finds the IP fine, it only fails when trying to connect to the internet.

Does anyone have any advice/help for this problem? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for all the posts... but I have a bit of a problem.

I got all this working a couple days ago but now my Nintendo USB Adapter is fried. It was acting spotty last night, losing connection off and on then it stopped completely. Now when I plug it in no light comes on though Windows detects something plugged into the USB port.

It was a couple years old so I thought it might've been just wear and tear, but it being a couple days after modding it I can't help but think that might have something to do with it.

Anyone run into similar problems? Or is it just coincidence?

Here follow this setup and you should be fine...by the way if your running both at the same time it will default to the slowest device. I've posted this many times and should be moved to the front page as a sticky...
Under The Asus WLAN Card Setting

Click on Config on the left side.

Basic Tab:

Network Type:Infrastructure

Network Name:default

Channel : 1

Encryption Tab:

Network Authentication: Open

Data Encrption: Disabled

Soft AP Tab:

Check The Soft AP Mode

Check To Enable The ICS

Access Control Tab:

Access Control Policy: Accept

Access Control List: This is were you input your mac address of your DS found under Nintendo WFC Settings,Options,System Information there you'll find your Mac Address 00-00-00-00-00-00 eg. Just note this is were you would input additional hardware addresses as well ( PSP, Laptop Eg.). Then of course you click add. Now you'll see that same address under the list of Mac Addresses Allowed To Be On The Network.

Now go back to the basic tab and click on advanced make sure under the 54g Mode its 802.11b only. All the other settings should not to be touched. But if you want to know here's what mine are set to.

RTS Threshold: 2347

Fragmentation Threshold: 2347

Preamble Mode: Long

Frame Bursting: Disabled

54g Mode: 802.11b only

54g Protection: Auto

Use Short Slot Time: Disabled

Important after making any adjustments to click on OK on the bottom left before closing tab.

Ok try your DS by going into nintendo WFC, then nintendo WFC Settings,Nintendo WiFi Connectin Settings. Erase all previous settings. Now pick a connection 1,2 or 3 now search for access point, after a few moments it should come up with a screen showing a default connection thats unlocked and a signal, Click OK. It will show a new Connection 2 Settings screen press OK again and it will set up your DS connection for you. After its done it should say connection successful and then go back to the Connection setup screen. Now just back out and your ready to Play. If you wanted to go into the connection setup screen again ,you'll see that the connection you choose has changed the erase settings to yellow from white meaning its saved. Now Go Have Fun !!!!

Any problems I'll try to help you figure it out.

Oh I don't know if this is a problem but when I go to Wireless Network Connection Status, down at the bottom where it says packets it has a number that keeps changing but the number next to it is 0.

try changing the ip address of the connector and this should do it. Yours is probly 192.168.0.1 change this to 192.168.1.2 or the like just by changing the last two numbers eg. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 . Do this under Network Connections...then right click wireless network connections and click on properties, scoll down to internet protocol left click then click on properties and now you should see the address.

Cheers, WD.

Hey guys,

I get up to the part where you have to open the control center and switch to Soft AP. Whenever I click on config and click on the Soft AP tab, this error pops up:

"Access violation at address 0057403F in module 'Wireless.exe'. Read of address 027A3744."

I press OK and everything seems to be okay, but for some reason the Enable ICS checkbox is grayed out, so I can't uncheck it. Anybody know what to do?

What happens if you try to go on... The other thing is ics must be enabled anyways. One more thing to check is go back to were you put the driver in and do this again making sure you overwrite the other
